Day Ninety Seven

Up early today!  My walk was nice and strong.  I did my entire 6 miles today, just like I planned.  I had a minor complication though.  My crazy dogs.  Cody was being naughty today!  Soon as we got finish with 3 miles, he ran off from me.  I don't know what the hell he was chasing, but he ran after something.  I hate when he does that.  So I waited for him a few minutes, but he didn't come back.  Finally I gave up and just finished my walk, then he came out of nowhere.  I was so mad at him.  I took him home and tied him up.  Then, I untied Cooper and took him with me.  Cody knew I was upset at him so he just stayed in the shade and didn't throw his usual tantrum.  Cooper and I finished out my 6 miles.  It was a nice walk!  I did not rest up though.  I usually take a few minute break between the 3rd and 4th mile.  I stretch out my legs so they don't stiffen up on me.  It also loosens them up really good to where they don't start aching later in the day.  Well, today because of Cody, I didn't do that.  I just did the full walk.  It was ok though.  My legs didn't hurt though my feet were pretty tired.  Lisa worked graveyards again last night, then today she's gotta go in for graveyards again, but she goes in at 6pm.

When I got home, I cleaned up, showered, then at 11:30am, I woke Lisa up.  We had a big buisness meeting at church so we needed to be there.  The meeting actually went really really well.  I was so proud of our pastor.  He is really looking out for us and he Always keeps God in everything we do or every decision he makes.  The last "pastor" we had, that guy was crazy and I truly believe he was NOT an actual pastor.  He just used the title so he can weasel his way into churches and take advantage of them so he can use it for his own personal gain.  That's all he did.  Anyway, our new interim pastor is nothing like him.  He is a man of God.  He always does what's right and he looks out for us.  I'm so proud of him and I'm thankful to God that He brought us a good man to bring His word.  I'm looking forward to the rest of the year and all the activities we have planned.

I'm wanting to start up my DDPyoga.  I know I've been saying that, but I'm close to starting.  I just get so busy in the evenings that I don't actually get to do it.  Gotta add more to my daily workout routine.  We'll see how that all goes.  Lisa went to work at 6pm.  I feel so bad for her because she didn't get much sleep.  I sure hope she gets thru tonight at work.  I drove her to work because I didn't want to risk her falling asleep at the wheel and I'm going to pick her up at 7 tomorrow morning.  Ok, I'm tired.  I've been finally cleaning up my room today.  I haven't cleaned it in over a year so now I'm hard at it.  Lots to do before I go to bed.  Goodnight!

Day Ninety Six

Got up early and headed out to do my walk.  Unfortunately, I only did 3 miles today :(  Reason being, I was on my second walk, gonna start my 4th mile and ended up running into my dad.  Lisa ran today.  She was up ahead of me when my dad came up the hill.  We stopped and talked for a long long time.  Hunting season is coming up and I've got an archery hunt next month.  He was asking me about that and we just started talkin hunting.  I'm pretty excited about the hunt.  I haven't been bow hunting in years.  We're going up to Chama, New Mexico.  The hunt is the middle of next month.  This daily exercise and getting in shape, that's really gonna help me up there because Chama is super rough mountain land.  The slopes are steep, completely vertical in some places.  I'm very proud because I've been on my Fyrescape since April so I'm sure I'll be pretty good out there.

Anyway, my dad and I talked for a long time.  Pretty soon, Lisa came running back up the hill toward us.  She ran the whole 3 mile trail and was coming back.  Once she passed, dad and I talked for a little bit, then his dogs ran off after Lisa so we had to cut our conversation and get his dogs back.  I just called off the rest of my walk because it was getting pretty hot out, plus I needed to go catch his dogs and take them home.

My grandpa called today.  He asked for my help in removing his camper on his truck.  He needed to use his truck for work and didn't have any help.  So, Lees and I went over there.  We took off his camper for him.  That was nice because I hadn't seen my grandparents in a while.  I usually see them often, but I haven't lately, not since the VBS at our church.  I got their voicemail when I got home from my walk this morning.  My phone was charging so I didn't catch the call.  Grandpa gave me my birthday present early.  My grandma wasn't there.  I had just missed her.  She went to the laundry.  They gave me a really nice card, which I'm going to hang up in my room, along with $50 and a $25 dollar Walmart gift card!!!  I was so happy.  I really loved the card also.  It basically says (in grandpa's words) "Sometimes life will give you hell, but grandparents are Always there for you" hahaha I loved it!!!  I love my grandma and grandpa so much.  They truly are there for me always and even though I'll be 33 years old, they still see me as their little grandson running around playing with Ninja Turtles LOL.  It's always a treat being with them.

The rest of the day, I kept busy at home.  I need to clean up my room really bad.  So much to do around the house.  We've been getting lots of rain somewhere nearby.  It's been nice these last few evenings.  Cloudy and the smell of rain.  We're not getting too much actual rain here, but it's been ok.  Nice and cool, atleast.  Ok, tomorrow I'm defintely gonna do my entire six miles.  I drank a whole gallon of water today, yay!!  Dang I really need to get used to that.  Water helps your body drop weight and burn fat.  It also does great for your skin and helps clean toxins out of your body!  It does wonders so Drink Up!!!!

Goodnight!

Day Ninety Five

Back at it today!  Started off my Friday with 6 miles.  I really do hope I'm getting somewhere as far as my weight loss is concerned.  To be honest, that 4 pound weight gain is really eating at my mind.  Lisa thinks its muscle gain, and I sure hope she's right.  I'm eating much better now.  Still need to beef up on the vegetables.  I just haven't gone to the grocery store.

My walks are getting so much easier.  6 miles everyday sure builds up my legs and my body strength.  I can remember a year ago, there's no way I'd be able to to 6 miles, much less 6 miles everyday.  It's crazy!

The rest of the day was spent paying a few bills.  The Connie Mack World Series (baseball) parade started today.  They're having the Connie Mack games starting today up until next week sometime I believe.  I watched a bit of it because Lisa was getting a loan and it was on the street the parade was happening.  Lots of young kids in the parade...oh man but there was this woman riding on the back of a red car.  She was Miss...something, I couldn't read her sign.  She looked like she was in her mid 20's.  Oh man that was one Fine Looking woman.  She was total model material.  I wish I knew her, or had the chance to meet her.  She was super HOT.  I'll probably never see her again in my life, but those few short moments I did see her, she was Amazing!

I'm drinking my gallon of water per day!  It's tough because sometimes you forget that you're supposed to be doing that.  It's gonna take me a while to get used to it but I'll get there.  Well, that's about all I've got for today.  Time to hit the sack.  Long day tomorrow!  Goodnight ;}

Day Ninety Four - REST DAY

Yup, the title says it all!  Rest Day!!!  I really needed this day.  Yesterday my leg was aching so bad.  Today I wanted to sleep in late, but what happens, I get up early.  4:30am to be exact!  Crazy, but I used that time to catch up on some stuff.  That really took it's toll on my later in the day, though.  I was so tired about 2pm.  I stayed up though.  I didn't wanna sleep during the day!

I spent the day just relaxing.  My legs got that rest they so deserved.  It was nice not walking or putting any strain on myself today.  Just an easy going day.  Oh ya, I finally got that gallon water jug so now I'm measuring the water I'm taking in daily.  It's so much easier that way!  I've also been eating pretty good.  Last night, we had fish.  No breaded stuff on it, just home cooked fish with lemon.  Today we had chicken.  Same, no breaded stuff, just the meat with some lemon and herbs flavoring.  It was sooo good.  You know, it's pretty good eating healthy.  I would take today's meal over a big fat juicy hamburger anyday, especially that fish from last night.  It was so good!!!!

Well, tomorrow I'm back at it starting at 5:30 in the morning.  I felt so bad for my dogs.  They just stayed home all day.  They usually have their time away from home on our morning walks.  Well, they'll get their exercise tomorrow.  It's funny, my clothes are really getting loose on me.  I walk around and my shorts start to fall off, especially if I have my phone in my pockets.  It's tough walking around in them.  I keep having to pull up my shorts.  One of these days I'll be walking around in town and pretty soon I'll feel a breeze, then I'll look down and see my shorts down at my feet hahaha!!!  I needa get some new clothes soon.

Ok, that was my day!  I hope tomorrow is just as good.  Gonna be a busy one tomorrow morning.  Now, I'm gonna drink some water, maybe have a light snack and hit the sack.  Goodnight!

Day Ninety Three

Today is my sixth day of doing 6 miles.  Lisa brought some interesting facts to my attention today.  I have walked 36 miles in the last six days.  Whoa!!!!  36 miles!!!  I never really looked at it like that.  She has only done 18 miles.  Unlike me, she only does 3 miles every day.  She cannot do 6 miles, in fact no one can.  None that I know of.  My family and some who've heard, they think I'm crazy for doing 6 miles per day.  They can't believe it.  I didn't think it was that big a deal, but now that Lisa put it as a whole, then yeah I can definitely see it now.  Dang!  36 miles lol.  It's mindblowing.  Makes me wonder how the hell did I put on 4 pounds in 12 days though!  I really don't believe that.  I think that's false.  I mean, it takes a lot to put on a pound, much less 4 pounds.  There's no way I put on 4 pounds in 12 days, that's just freakin crazy and unbelievable.  I did not share this in my earlier blogs since that one when I told my last weight, which was 4 pounds heavier.  The other day, I was on my walk and thinking.  That's all I do is think when I'm out there.  Anyway, I thought how could it have been possible for me to put on 4 pounds and in 12 days?!  The only thing I could think of was that it was my eating...which honestly hasn't even been that bad.  But that week during VBS at our church, I did eat a few sweet treats, only because that's what they served over there.  Every other day I had a cup of their juice, which omg was too sweet.  They killed it with sugar.  I could only drink a tiny cup of it because it was just too sweet.  The little kids loved it, but me, yuck!  Anyway, they had cookies and stuff like that which they served, but we're talking like two cookies and a tiny cup of juice.  That's it!  The big crazy one, however, was Lisa birthday on the 18th.  Our eating was really bad that day!  We ate breakfast at the casino here, then we went to a movie and drank Diet Coke, but we had popcorn.  Then afterwards, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and ate lunch.  We had some of their signature wings.  It's a new restaurant here and that was our first time eating there.  She wanted to go there on her birthday!  Also, that evening, I had her pick out a cake she wanted.  She wanted an ice cream cake at Dairy Queen so we went over there.  She picked out a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cake.  Oh man, now that was super sweet.  It was a huge cake too.  No nutritional facts on it though so I have no idea how many calories it had, but if a small snickers bar has 250 to 400 calories, I'm sure that cake was really really really high in calories.  The following week we ate a restaurants in town twice.  We had two big hamburgers.  Yeah, I know.  Totally failed my dieting that week, but it was her birthday and it was kinda our reward, I was thinking at the time, for busting our butts the past two months.  I didn't think it was hurting anything, plus everyday this was happening, I was still doing my 6 miles each morning.  I figured, any extra calories that I was taking in, I'd burn it off on the morning walk/run.  Another thing was that both Lisa and I probably had a slice of that cake each day following her birthday, just so we could try and finish it because it was a big cake.  Well, from all I can possibly think of, maybe that's how I put on 4 pounds in 12 days, because of that cake.  That was the conclusion I came to because there was really no other explanation for it.  So, earlier this week, I told Lisa NO MORE and I tossed the rest of that cake in the trash.  I also cut out our hamburger/restaurant eating.  My birthday is coming up next week and I told Lisa that I did not want a cake, instead I wanted her to come up with an alternative, something cool and interesting and way WAY less calories than a cake.  I've had enough cake to last the rest of the year, honestly, with Lisa's birthday cake.  But yeah, that's what I've concluded.  I need to really watch what I eat.  I still don't believe that even that cake put 4 pounds on my body.  No way, especially not with me doing 6 miles daily!  Then again, maybe it's muscle build!  Could possibly be.  Maybe my legs put on 4 pounds of muscle since I've been doing 6 miles every day all at once.  That's another possibility, though I'm not going to go around saying that's what it is because I don't want to give myself false hope.  I'm just going to see it as weight gain and I'm going to work my butt off to lose those pounds again.

Ok, so that was my explanation for my weight gain.  It's either fat built up from that crazy Ice Cream cake, or it's muscle build.  Either way, I will deal with it.  This evening, my left leg really started aching.  I've been doing 6 miles for the past 6 days.  I think it's time for a rest day tomorrow.  Usually when my leg is aching like this, that's my body telling me it's had it for the week and that I need to take it easy for a day, let it recharge.  So, that's what I'm gonna do tomorrow.  Oh and on worser shit news, my favorite wrestling company TNA IMPACTwrestling, well there are rumors going around that SpikeTV is going to cancel their weekly show.  Some crazy TMZ reported that earlier this week and the whole internet world went wild with it.  I don't believe they're going to get canceled though.  I have faith that TNA will be around for a long, long time.  SpikeTV is just trying to get lower rates from TNA, is what I believe.  Even if Spike doesn't renew with TNA, they'll find another network that'll pick up the show.  I love TNA and I love all the talent they have.  I would not want to see all those ppl out of a job.  They have familes to support too so I pray that TNA gets thru this and grows into a more successful company in the years to come.  Goodnight!

Day Ninety Two

Up at 5:30am today once again and did my 6 miles.  It's really cool, my body has just been waking itself up the same time every morning.  I just crave that walking.  It really energizes my body and throughout the rest of the day, I'm good to go.  I did a bit of running today, it was pretty Awesome.  I find that I can run a longer distance now and that my "light" jogging pace got much faster.  Before, my light jog was pretty slow, more like a slightly quicker walk.  Now, my light jogging is pretty quick.  When Lisa runs with me during my light jogging, she's practically running.  That's how quick I'm getting.  My legs are defintely stronger than they've ever been and I'm so happy about that!

Lisa was in Zombie-Mode today!  She worked graveyards Sunday night, then Monday she worked graveyards again so when she got home this morning, she came with me when I started mile 4 and she walked out the rest of my walk with me.  She was so tired.  Since today was her day off, she really tried to stay up.  She lasted only half the day though, then she clunked out.  I don't blame her.  She's been goin thru some crap at work and it's really been taking it's toll on her.  I can't wait until I get my CDL license so I can bring in the money while she just focuses on school.  That'll be great!

My dogs have really gotten used to coming with me in the mornings.  Our newest family member, Cooper, he's really taken to it well.  It's Amazing on how obedient he is and how loving he is.  He's so nice to my cats that even my kittens are starting to like him.  He's such a great dog and it's a real blessing from God that Cooper has been doing so well with us.  Cody is really starting to get used to him as well, but Cody is really nice with other dogs.  He's not mean or hateful.  He does get jealous though when Cooper tries to get more attention.  Then Cody will come over and push him out of the way so he can get pets and love from Lees and I lol.  It's pretty cute!

Ok, another great day!  I sure hope my daily exercise is helping my weight.  I'm not going to check it for a while.  No matter what, I'm going to keep up my Fyrescape.  Only 92 days down.  I'm not done until April 28th of 2015.  We shall see ;)  Goodnight!

Day Ninety One

Woke up early today and did my 6 miles.  My legs are surprisingly holding out strong!  I even did a little running today, I'm so proud.  When I first started this 6 mile walk all at once, by the end of the walk my legs were so tired.  They were aching and my feet felt completely worn out.  Now, I feel strong!  My legs feel strong and my feet feel nothing when I'm done.  Now, I'm adding running in there.  Totally Superman Mode, dang ;)

I'm getting back to drinking water again.  I'm going to get back to drinking a gallon of water per day!  That's what is recommended.  You needa drink a gallon per day, atleast!  I need to get a gallon jug so I can measure my water intake per day.  I was planning on buying one last week, but I didn't get to.  That will help best, especially when you're trying to keep up with it.  Sometime this week, I'm going to do that.  I've just been drinking cups per day but I have no idea if it's a gallon or not.

Well, that damn headache is still bothering me.  You believe that?!  Dang it's two days now that I've felt it.  It's not really bad, just light but it's really aggravating because it's like this small irritation that just won't seem to go away.  Pisses me off!  Anyway, I took some aspirin...again.  I kept up my eating too.  Oh yeah, I read that when you're doing lots of exercise, your body needs fuel so you have to constantly eat!  No that doesn't mean hamburgers every hour, or pizza.  You do, however, need to keep your body hydrated and fueled, especially when you're working hard.  I'm building myself up to doing 6 miles in the morning and a good evening workout everyday.  For that, I'm really going to need to keep myself fueled.  A few days ago, I did not drink any water and I headed out for my 6 miles.  By the time I was done, I was ready to drop.  I was so weak and dehydrated, it was not funny.  When I don't eat enough, I'll feel weak also.  Very important health tip, keep plenty of water in your system and when working out, especially workouts that last hours in a day, you need to keep yourself energized with healthy foods and foods that have lots of protein.  That'll really help you burn off fat.

Ok, today was good.  I hope tomorrow is just as good.  Long week to go.  Goodnight!
