Day Thirty Three

Today is my little brother's B-Day!!!  ....I have no idea how old he is.  23, I think.  He's ten years younger than me, I believe.  Just a kid still.  I can remember when he was running around in diapers hahaha.  Anyway, because it was/is his birthday, I allowed myself some cheat meals.  I didn't want my family to feel bad.  They took him to K-BOB's steakhouse for lunch.  They invited me and Lees along.  I didn't want to get steak because I already cooked one outside a few days ago, as I mentioned.  So, I stuck to Salmon with rice and veggies, oh and a salad, and water.  It was a lot better than getting another steak or a hamburger.  I loved the salmon too, it was really good.  Tasty!  It was not a health meal though because it was all seasoned up like crazy and the rice was greasy.  Yeah, not good but because it was his B-day.  After we ate, Lisa had to go to work.  The rest of us went to see the movie, Malificent.  Omgosh let me tell you, that movie was Awesome!!!!  I really loved it.  I knew it was a Sleeping Beauty movie, but I would've never watched it had no one taken me to see it.  My brother picked that movie to go see and they asked if I wanted to come along.  It was funny, when we got there, the whole theater was packed.  We all ended up sitting in the very front since those seats weren't taken yet.  My mom and sister sat in the second to the front row.  I didn't want to scoot past them so I moved up to the front row.  I sat down right in the center of the screen.  It was pretty nice.  Then, I looked to my left and there was nobody...then I looked to my right and there was nobody.  So then I turned around and looked at my mom and sis, then I said, "Oh man, I hope no one hears about this one.  I'm in a theater getting ready to watch Sleeping Beauty and I'm sittin in the front row by myself!"  They cracked up laughing so bad LOL.  It was funny.  Soon, my dad and brother came in and they sat a seat down from me, then another family came in and they sat on the right of me.  I enjoyed it though, it was a really good movie and Angelina Jolie was so Beautiful!  That woman has a face that's just....well Amazing!  I love her.

Anyway, to business!  This morning, I walked 2 1/2 miles.  I said that I would do 5 miles everyday this week and so far I'm doin good.  I did another 2 1/2 this evening.  It was good.  5 miles total.  The walks sure are getting tiring because everyday I push it.  Drank lots of water today, in fact I drank a ton of it.  I'm so used to water now that I have it every time I get thirsty.  My brother called me late, around 9, not too long after I had gotten back from my second walk.  Yup, I walked late to avoid the heat and it was worth it.  They asked me to come over and have some of his birthday cake....omg nooooo lol.  So yeah, needless to say today was not a good day for meals.  I had to have some cake, but I didn't each much.  It was an ice cream cake.  My parents don't seem to take my ambitions seriously lol.  Oh well, it was only a meal.  I'm really strong-willed when it comes to my diets and exercising though.  I made a decision to do it and I'm not stopping.  Losing 24 pounds really motivates me to not give up!

Ok so all in all, today was a great day!  I'm gonna take Lisa to see, Malificent, on Tuesday!  I'm sure she's goin to like that movie.  I sure wouldn't mind seeing it again.  We'll probably watch it in 3D because I hear it's better in 3D.  Great day and definitely lookin forward to tomorrow ;)

Goodnight and again, Happy Birthday to my brother, Kyle!  Wishing you many more Awesome years and Great memories, kid.

Day Thirty Two

Today's the Day!!! ;}  This morning, I started off early with my 2 1/2 mile walk.  I'd like to point out that I started my Fyrescape Journey on April 29 of this year and it is now May 30th.  My weight was at 360lbs on the 28 of April.  I'm happy to report now that my weight has dropped to 336lbs.  Now how Awesome is that?!!  I dropped twenty four pounds by exercising and eating right.  I knew I could do it and I thank God that he's given me the strength to come this far and I'm nowhere near done.  One cool fun fact is, this evening I pulled out some of my old jackets.  They can fit me so much better than they used to!  One jacket, I could put it on, but I could not close it in front.  There was maybe a 2 inch gap on one coat and about a 3 1/2 inch gap on the other.  Guess what, now they BOTH can close!!  I'm so happy about that.  Finally got some inches down.  It was a good day!

Another great thing about today, I bought Mario Kart 8 this morning!!  Now this is a story for you.  A few days ago, I bought one of those pre-order cards for the game at Walmart.  Here in my town (Farmington) we have two Walmarts.  One on the west side of town, the other on the far east side.  I used to work on the east side store back in 2006.  I rarely shop there now though, only because I live over on the west side of town.  So anyway, that store is closer to me.  I go there this morning with Lisa, totally excited to get my game.  I present my pre-order card to the girl working in the electronics dept.  She stares at me blankly and asks...."uh, what are you gonna do with this?"  I'm like, WTH you have no idea what that is!  I told her I was picking up my game.  I didn't see any Mario Kart games in the game case so I figured they had them in the back and have not yet put them out on the shelves yet.  Guess what she does...she goes over to the game case which I just came from and stands there for a few minutes looking for the game....omgosh.  Then she comes over to me and says it's not there, so she asks the other girl who's working there and all that girl says to her is "oh I don't think we got them in yet, probably wait a couple days and we should have them" so that's what that idiot told me!  Yeah, I was pissed.  I told her, it says May 30th on the card, and I pointed it out.  She said, yeah I know it says that but I don't think we got them in yet.  So I asked her, Ok..so what do I do then?  She says blankly again, Uh...probably just wait a few days then check back we might have it.  I stared at her, then said coldly, So did I buy this pre-order card for Nothing?  She just stares at me and says, blankly again, uh..no just use it when you come back I guess.  WTF!!!!!  Now that's Walmart customer service for you!  Those damn idiot girls in the electronics department don't know a damn thing!  They didn't even bother going into the back to see if the games came in.  They just gave me the "uh...I don't think" speech.  I was so disgusted.  I almost just thru that damn pre-order card in the trash.  I mean, seriously, if that damn store is going to be selling those pre-order cards then they better damn well make sure they have that particular product on the shelves the day it's released, otherwise stop selling them!  Totally pathedic!!!  I was pretty mad.  So, Lisa and I went to the OTHER Walmart store on the east side of town.  I figure I'd check there before throwing that card away.  Soon as we got there, I headed back to the electronics dept.  I get to the games case and the girl working there has a huge box of Mario Kart 8 games that she's stocking in the game case!  I'm like, Woohoo, give me one of those.  She was so helpful, she even let me use my pre-order card to buy the game.  She was very nice, very helpful.  I was so satisfied with their customer service.  I swear, the west side Walmart needs to fire all those BS employees who don't know sh*t and give their customers the "uh...I don't know" speeches.  Pissed me off!  Anyway, I got my game.  After that, Lees and I went to Arby's and got some Turkey sandwiches, then headed home to race before she had to go to work.

Just after eating, I had a surprise visit from my little sister.  She was telling me about her court date scheduled for next week.  Towards the end of last year, this crazy girl that she knew, went over to my mom and dad's property, walked into their house, locked my sister out of the house and of course, my younger brother didn't do anything, just let her in, then that girl ended up assaulting my sister outside when she finally went out.  She attacked my sister and did some damage to her car, then she bailed.  My sister tried getting the Navajo Police to help her but of course, they are the worst police force in the world.  Slow and inefficient.  Anyway, my sister wants to file assault charges on that girl and damage to property.  Well the damn courts finally got back to her a few days ago and they scheduled a court date for next week.  Now my sister has to go there, along with my brother, since he was a witness to the whole thing.  Yeah, sad as it is, my brother didn't do anything, just watched that girl beat up his sister.  That made me mad!  I would've went over there and dragged that girl by her hair off my mom and dad's property, then tied her ass up and wait for the cops to come haul her drunk ass to jail, but I was working that day when it happened.  I didn't hear about it until after I had got to work.  Made me so mad!  But, she got thru it all and now has to deal with it.  That's the news there.

This evening, I challenged myself with my walk.  I did my 2 1/2 miles to finish up my 5 miles for the day.  This time, I walked pretty late.  I headed out about 8pm.  The sun was going down and I wanted to be back home before it got dark.  It's a long walk so I really needed to step it up.  Cody and I headed out and I really stepped it up.  I was walking hard and fast.  Wouldn't you know it, I got home before it got dark.  I was back by 9:14pm.  The sky was a shady blue color.  Sun went down, but you could still see.  I was so proud of myself.  I really hit it hard tonight!  I'm gonna try to walk that fast in the morning.  Reminds me again of my running days all those years ago.  I used to run at night and I would run for miles.  During the day, I couldn't do crap lol.  Just didn't have it during the day, but at night, I could run forever it seemed.  Werewolf-Style ;}  Nothing has changed it seems.  The sun was down and I had tons of energy.  I was walking tough, so I'm gonna try that tomorrow morning and see how it does me.
So that was my day!  Lisa is getting off soon.  We'll probably play more Mario Kart when she gets home.  We played some earlier and oh man, it is so fun!  The kart racing is so intense.  Similar to Mario Kart wii, but the tracks are more advanced and you can race on walls, glide thru the air and race underwater.  It's really crazy!  We had lots of fun playing.  Well, I'm going to log off now.  It's been a great day and a good mark in my Journey.  I'm planning on continuing my exercising for many more months and years to come.  Thankx for reading!

Goodnight!

Day Thirty One

Started my day with my 2 1/2 mile walk again.  I woke up early today and got that done.  I figure it's too hot to get out there and walk at 9am so I'm gonna try and get started by 7am or 7:30 at the latest.  Once I'm down in the two hundred pound range (295 etc) I'm gonna start up my running again.  I really wanted to get my weight down before I really hit the running.  Every other day, on my walks home, I try my runs.  I'm getting better and can run a bit further distance.  It reminds me; back when I was a teenager, 18/19, I used to run a couple miles a night, then walk the same distance.  I loved that and when I'm out there running/walking, it really brings back those memories and I can't wait to get back to that.  I'm so thankful to God that He gave me the strength to keep it up and I'm so proud of the weight I've lost to this point.  I'm continuing on everyday, which is what is require in order to really make a difference in yourself.  DO NOT QUIT, I PROMISE YOU, YOU WILL SEE RESULTS!!!!
The rest of the day was quite simple.  Just stayed inside since it was pretty hot out.  I really need to get out there and finish the yard.  I got so many weeds to cut yet.  I need to get busy so hopefully this weekend I'll get out there.  This evening around 6pm, I finished out my 5 miles.  It was a good walk and a bit cooler than yesterday given that it was cloudy.  The smell of rain filled the air toward the end of my walk.
I watched IMPACTwrestling tonight after getting cleaned up.  For those that don't know, that's TNA.  I'm a huge pro-wrestling fan.  I hate the wwe though so don't nobody EVER call me a wwe fan.  I used to watch the wwe back when Shawn Michaels performed along with Bret "The Hitman" Hart, and when John Cena first started out before he became corrupt with fame and power.  I was mainly a WCW fan, which was the only reason I started watching wwe in the first place, because they bought WCW (World Championship Wrestling).  That place had wrestling!  I loved it.  The wwe just had a bunch of fame hungry weirdos in the later years after the purchase of WCW.  I hated it so bad.  So, out of the ashes of the old WCW, TNA rose up!  Now they have what WCW once had.  They've struggled a bit, but lately they're definitely turning around.  They have the potential to be a really Amazing wrestling company.  All the need it the right management, the right writers and the right push to really get up there.  The wwe is falling, just look at the news.  Anyway, that's a whole other conversation.  But yes, I'm a big TNA supporter and I hope to see them strive in the coming future.  So tonight was their IMPACT show on SpikeTV, which was Awesome!!  I really enjoyed it, especially their knew Knockout, Rebel.  Oh man, she is sizzling!!!  I love her.
So that was my day!  Looking forward to tomorrow since my reserved game, Mario Kart 8, will be in.  I can't wait!  I've got a great morning planned racing lol.  Thankx for reading today's blog.

Goodnight!

Day Thirty

Today was Awesome!!  Started the day with my 2 1/2 miles, as my everyday thing.  Really worked up a sweat.  Cody has marked every bush on my entire walking road, it's crazy lol.  I might as well name that road, Cody's Trail, or something clever like that lol.   It might as well be his now.  So after the walk, Lees and I set up the chairs outside under the canopy which we had set up yesterday before I cooked the steaks.  I went ahead and left it up that night.  So we sat under there, just relaxing and taking in the cool shady breeze.  Lisa cut us up some watermelon and she pulled out the animal brush and brushed Cody's coat.  Dang, that dog is really shedding.  He looked awful because he had clumps of fur getting ready to fall off.  She brushed that all out.  There was so much and now I got all these brownish/black furballs in my front yard hahaha.  I needa clean that up!  He looks good now, back to my handsome German Shepherd.  He loves that!  I let my cat, Sebastian, outside too.  It's funny, my cat is really tough and Huge also.  He's a big Tom Cat.  Cody is scared of him because Sebastian will walk up to him and swipe right at his nose, hissing at him just for the heck of it.  Cody doesn't like that so when he sees Sebastian walking toward him, he gets really nervous and walks away from him LOL.  It's really funny!  Crazy cat, I have to keep him inline.
After, we got ready and headed into town.  I wanted to stop by Home Depot to look at some garden supplies and grilling gadgets I could use.  Since yesterday I'm really getting into that.  We were there at the store for a good hour, just lookin around.  After, I treated Lees out to Red Lobster.  No no, we didn't get some crazy fatty foods.  I got fish and vegetables.  Omg I can't get enough of that.  I had grilled fish, broccoli and grean beans.  That and water with lemon.  Soo good.  Lisa had shrimp pasta with rice.  We both had salad.  Very good lunch!  Oh man it was so tempting though because you could smell the lobster, crab legs, breaded fish and fries...mmmmm.  I miss that!  I can't wait to drop down to 240, then I'll have more of that.  Until then, it's strictly healthy foods.
After the restaurant, we headed home.  Watched a movie at home and just hung around.  We walked early this evening, around 4:30.  I had planned on grilling fish outside so I wanted to get my walk done and over with before the mosquitos came out.  Finished up with my daily 5 miles around 5:45pm.  It was pretty hot out still and I really overheated because I was walking hard so soon as I got home, I jumped in the cold shower again.  Totally refreshing!
I cooked fish on my grill tonight!  No mosquitos out woohoo!!!  I guess because it was cloudy and breezy.  But yup, I grilled fish.  They came out sooo good.  Damn, I'm getting good at that LOL.  I dropped a piece on the ground and Jayde sniffed it, then she chomped it down.  She loved it.  She was standing by the grill just waiting so I gave her another big piece and she ate it up.  She really liked my fish.  Since I had seven, two of them huge ones I caught, I cooked on whole fish for Cody.  I made it really tasty, then let it cool down.  After, I took it over to him.  He sniffed it once, then bit into it.  He ate the whole thing right up.  He loved it!  I was so proud.  Lisa loved them too.  She said they were really good.  We had them with beans and the rest of the potato salad we'd gotten yesterday.  That and water.  It was a very good dinner.  We watched some movies I had rented after, one of them being that movie '12 Years a Slave'.  Oh man, that was an intense movie!  I can't believe people were treated that way back then.  I mean, we're all human beings.  Everyone has a different skin color, but we're all the same.  How could someone treat a person with black skin any different than someone with red skin?!!  It makes me sick thinking about it.  I'm a Native American and my skin is brown, but my blood is red and I breathe oxygen, the same as people with white skin and black skin.  No difference!  Why the hell did ppl treat colored people that way!  So crazy.  Me, I respect all ppl and animals.  I never hurt or harm animals and I show respect to All people, unless they themselves have no respect for others, then I don't give them any.  I wouldn't treat anyone any different.  Even a famous person, I would treat them the same way I would a stranger I met in town.  Just because someone has a lot more money in the bank than another person, doesn't make them any better than them.  We are all the same and under God.  That is how I see it and live my life.
Anyway, just saying!  But today was a great day.  I'm lookin forward to the weekend.

Goodnight!

Day Twenty Nine

Started off the day with my normal 2 1/2 mile walk.  My walks sure are getting faster.  Before I was luggin it pretty slow, now I'm picking up speed.  Lisa ran today, as she usually does.  She really needs to pick up her exercising more because she works in the evening so she don't have time to do the second exercise like I do.
Anyway, after coming back, we gathered all the trash around the house, picking up everything.  I loaded up my truck bed with trash from around the yard and the trash cans outside.  I had so much and oh man did it stink.  This hot weather, you can't leave trash outside for too long lol.  We loaded it all up and then swooped up Jayde, then we cruised to the dump.  Every time we bring one of the dogs, the workers there at the Waste Management facility always give those dog biscuits to us.  They gave Jayde one, but she didn't like it.  She's really picky about what she eats.  Damn spoiled dog!  After the dump (felt so good to get rid of all that trash), we came into town and I went right to Captain D's and bought us some Iced Tea's.  I felt I deserved it.  Oh my goodness, I hadn't had an iced tea in a month.  As you now know, that was my favorite drink.  It was sooooo good I can't begin to describe it!  I enjoyed it.  After that we came home, got ready then headed back up town.  I wanted to try out my grill so I bought us two ribeye steaks at Walmart, some vegetables and potato salad.  I usually don't eat potatoes, but this time it called for it.  I grilled those steaks on my grill that evening.  They came out Amazing!  I'm actually pretty good at cooking out there.  I made them well-done too.  I wanted mine Medium, but since I'm on this whole health track, I made them fully cooked.  They still tasted great, as well as the vegetables.  During dinner, we watched the new Robocop movie.  I had bought it on Ultraviolet early so we watched it on Lisa's laptop.  I wish I could get it played on my tv, but you need internet connection to watch your Ultraviolet's on your tv, which sux.
That was a good movie.  After dinner, Lisa went to meet her pal at Berg Park and did some walking.  I waited until the movie was over (letting my stomach settle) then I changed and me and Cody went out to finish up my 5 miles for the day!  It was a good walk but oh man was it hot!  I came back roasting, so I hoped in a cold shower and cleaned off.  I walked pretty hard too so I'm already startin to burn off those calories.  It was a great day!  Very much lookin forward to tomorrow ;}

Goodnight!

Day Twenty Eight - REST DAY

Yay!  Rest Day!!!  Also, Happy Memorial Day!!  Let's honor all those who have fallen in service of our Great Country and to the loved ones we've lost over the years who will always remain in our hearts throughout our lives!
Though it was a holiday, I sure didn't do anything.  No plans with the family, just a ME day pretty much.  Even Lisa did something with her family.  They had a dinner at her aunts place, so she bailed out pretty early.  Anyway, I can't tell you how good it felt to just go easy today.  Doin 5 miles everyday, I tell ya that really does take it's toll on you after a while.
I'd like to point out that even though I do try to have a rest day every week, that day doesn't mean I go on binges and eat anything I want.  No, I may be recharging my body, but I'm still eating right and light.  I haven't had a soda in a month.  I haven't had any sweets or chocolate in over a month.  I've been drinking only water and the occasional juice, mainly the V8 blend juices that have lots of Vitamins, the diet ones, not the regular as I think it's too sweet.  Also, Grapefruit juice is the other one!  Those are the only juices I drink.  If they're too sweet, I'll put in just a bit of juice and the rest water.  That helps bland it out a bit.
So today was pretty minor.  I didn't do much except clean up around the place.  I've got so many ant hole popping up near Cody's area, I need to cruise to town tomorrow and get some.  It's been raining a lot the past couple days so on a calm sunny day, I'll put it on them.  One thing I did, that I'm ultra proud of, was this evening, I got my grill working!!!!!!  Woohoo!!  This morning, my Grandma and Grandpa stopped by and gave me one of Grandpa's old propane bottles, a small one.  Now I have one that'll fit underneath my grill.  I was so happy about that.  I was goin to buy one, but those damn things are $30 bucks.  That doesn't seem like much, but it is especially when you have other stuff you need to get.  That thirty dollar chunk outta your wallet sure adds up after a while, so needless to say I hadn't gotten one yet, but now I have one!!  It was funny, I told Grandpa that this was my Rest Day and he tells me to NOT do that LOL.  He said that's how you get lazy!  He doesn't realize I've been doin this since I started.  It's good to take Rest Days, especially when you are just starting off.  You really don't want to overwork your body.  That's how you blow out your knees and wear out your legs, causing nightly pain.  When your weight is where Mine was, you definitely need a rest day.  It sure doesn't get me lazy though, especially with this much weight loss that I've had.  It just motivates me to get back out there.  I'll be honest, all day today I was wanting to get out there and do another 5 miles, but I really had to restrain.  Why you ask, well because my feet were feeling pretty worn out.  They needed atleast one day to really heal up so tomorrow I'll get back out there because this upcoming week, I'm planning to to 5 miles everyday....again lol.
So back to my story, tonight I got my grill working.  I went out there, put it all back together using bolts and wire.  I had to use wire because some of the bolts I had didn't quite fit.  Now, it's solid.  I got my (new) propane bottle and hooked it up.  Turned it on.....nothing!  I thought, dammit it must be my regulator.  So, I unscrewed the bottle and cleaned out everything.  Note:  When I screwed on the propane bottle, it turned only about a turn and a half before it was tight.
So after I sat down on the ground, made sure the regulator was lined up correctly with my propane bottle, then pressed it on.  I noticed it clicked on there, then I screwed it on.  This time, it turned about 7 times until it got tight.  Right away, I'm like, hey that was more than before!  So I jumped up, ran around to the front and turned the knobs to on and *ssssssssss* (the propane started up and came on).  I was so happy!  I cleaned up the grill quickly, then grabbed my lighter and fired it up.  It was on hot, all both burners and the side burner were working great.  I got it running.  Now I can finally cook those fish I have in the freezer.  I've been wanting to grill outside and now I can.  I showed Lisa when she got home and she's really excited.  She's off tomorrow and the next day so we're planning on getting some good food cooked outside ;}
Great day today!  I enjoyed it.  Goodnight!

Day Twenty Seven

2 1/2 miles started off my day!  Boy it was nice and cool out this morning.  It rained last night and rained a bit on the way back.  I love days like today!  I was really feeling it though, I'm worn out.  Tomorrow is Rest Day, yay!!!!   Can't wait for that.  This evening I did another 2 1/2 miles, so 5 miles total again today.  I've been doing 5 miles for the last few days.  It's Awesome!!  I'm getting so used to exercising now, it's not even a question.  Once the time hits, I put on my gear and head out.  It really does work, motivation!  You just need to make the decision to do it, trust me.  That's all you need is the motivation and determination to do it and you can do it!  It don't take fancy equipment or some crazy advertised super pill, it just takes a little "get off your ass and do it" attitude.  Definitely working for me!
Today was church and our old friends, the Forman's were back.  When our church was almost taken over by this crazy pastor bridge, Jim Forman was one of our supporters and kept trying to get my mom to fight for the church.  So he came down to baptize anyone who wanted to and get their names in record because that's one thing that that idiot Bridge was using against us when he almost took our church away.  That's another story though and I won't get into that.
So they came down and did service.  I used to know them really well but you know, a long time ago Jim Forman and I did not get along.  He hated me for whatever reason and chased me out of the church one time.  I got back at him, yelling at him while he was doing his sermon.  It was bad, but I don't let anyone treat me that way.  We did get over it though and settled things eventually.  Not too long after that whole thing happened, like maybe a year or so, he ended up leaving our church.  He took his whole family with him and being away from them with no contact for more than 10 years, they pretty much turned into strangers to me.  We don't know each other and when we talk, it's very awkward.  I hate to say that, but it is.  My mom is very close with all of them, needless to say she's much closer to them than anyone else.  So for me, service yesterday wasn't all that good.  I wish I knew them better.  Maybe in time, things will change.  Of course I was also a bit embarrassed because the last time I saw them, I was probably about 180 pounds LOL.  Now, well you all know how much I weigh haha.  Crazy!  I'm sure I looked way different so if they come back next year or in a few months, whichever (oh they're from Talequah, Oklahoma btw) I'll look more familiar ;)
So that was my day!  Pretty good.  Did some thinking and I'm really looking forward to my future!  Did my daily 5 miles of walking today so that really made me feel great.
Goodnight!
