Day Twenty Eight - REST DAY

Yay!  Rest Day!!!  Also, Happy Memorial Day!!  Let's honor all those who have fallen in service of our Great Country and to the loved ones we've lost over the years who will always remain in our hearts throughout our lives!
Though it was a holiday, I sure didn't do anything.  No plans with the family, just a ME day pretty much.  Even Lisa did something with her family.  They had a dinner at her aunts place, so she bailed out pretty early.  Anyway, I can't tell you how good it felt to just go easy today.  Doin 5 miles everyday, I tell ya that really does take it's toll on you after a while.
I'd like to point out that even though I do try to have a rest day every week, that day doesn't mean I go on binges and eat anything I want.  No, I may be recharging my body, but I'm still eating right and light.  I haven't had a soda in a month.  I haven't had any sweets or chocolate in over a month.  I've been drinking only water and the occasional juice, mainly the V8 blend juices that have lots of Vitamins, the diet ones, not the regular as I think it's too sweet.  Also, Grapefruit juice is the other one!  Those are the only juices I drink.  If they're too sweet, I'll put in just a bit of juice and the rest water.  That helps bland it out a bit.
So today was pretty minor.  I didn't do much except clean up around the place.  I've got so many ant hole popping up near Cody's area, I need to cruise to town tomorrow and get some.  It's been raining a lot the past couple days so on a calm sunny day, I'll put it on them.  One thing I did, that I'm ultra proud of, was this evening, I got my grill working!!!!!!  Woohoo!!  This morning, my Grandma and Grandpa stopped by and gave me one of Grandpa's old propane bottles, a small one.  Now I have one that'll fit underneath my grill.  I was so happy about that.  I was goin to buy one, but those damn things are $30 bucks.  That doesn't seem like much, but it is especially when you have other stuff you need to get.  That thirty dollar chunk outta your wallet sure adds up after a while, so needless to say I hadn't gotten one yet, but now I have one!!  It was funny, I told Grandpa that this was my Rest Day and he tells me to NOT do that LOL.  He said that's how you get lazy!  He doesn't realize I've been doin this since I started.  It's good to take Rest Days, especially when you are just starting off.  You really don't want to overwork your body.  That's how you blow out your knees and wear out your legs, causing nightly pain.  When your weight is where Mine was, you definitely need a rest day.  It sure doesn't get me lazy though, especially with this much weight loss that I've had.  It just motivates me to get back out there.  I'll be honest, all day today I was wanting to get out there and do another 5 miles, but I really had to restrain.  Why you ask, well because my feet were feeling pretty worn out.  They needed atleast one day to really heal up so tomorrow I'll get back out there because this upcoming week, I'm planning to to 5 miles everyday....again lol.
So back to my story, tonight I got my grill working.  I went out there, put it all back together using bolts and wire.  I had to use wire because some of the bolts I had didn't quite fit.  Now, it's solid.  I got my (new) propane bottle and hooked it up.  Turned it on.....nothing!  I thought, dammit it must be my regulator.  So, I unscrewed the bottle and cleaned out everything.  Note:  When I screwed on the propane bottle, it turned only about a turn and a half before it was tight.
So after I sat down on the ground, made sure the regulator was lined up correctly with my propane bottle, then pressed it on.  I noticed it clicked on there, then I screwed it on.  This time, it turned about 7 times until it got tight.  Right away, I'm like, hey that was more than before!  So I jumped up, ran around to the front and turned the knobs to on and *ssssssssss* (the propane started up and came on).  I was so happy!  I cleaned up the grill quickly, then grabbed my lighter and fired it up.  It was on hot, all both burners and the side burner were working great.  I got it running.  Now I can finally cook those fish I have in the freezer.  I've been wanting to grill outside and now I can.  I showed Lisa when she got home and she's really excited.  She's off tomorrow and the next day so we're planning on getting some good food cooked outside ;}
Great day today!  I enjoyed it.  Goodnight!
