Yup, I finally decided to take one. Good to wait until Monday, my usual day for a rest day. Well this morning, I slept in a bit. Slept til 7am, which is great! Lately, I've been up at between 5 and 6am. I got up and washed up. Soon as Lisa got home from work, I called the vet. I got Cooper's records transferred to my vet where I take my animals. Then I set up an appt. for him at 9:45am. Took him over there. It was nice! It seemed odd being there without Cody. Usually when i go to that vet, it was always for Cody. Now, Cooper! Well they gave him the dreaded heartworm test. The results....were negative! Yay :D I was so super happy and relieved to hear that. I'm going to put him on heartworm prevenative pills but not until Next Friday when I can afford it. So looks like I have a new member to my family and his name is Cooper.
He was a good dog over there. Very obedient. He has two different color eyes. One is brown, the other is half brown and white. Very neat! Everyone there was complimenting his eyes. So now, he'll have a nice life with me, Lisa, Cody, Jayde and my cats. So far, they've all taken to him pretty well. Cody is jealous, though. He hates when Lisa or I are over there tending to Cooper. We have to let him know that he's still our baby. Technically, he is still the baby. Cody is only 2 years old, as opposed to Cooper who is about 4 or 5 years old now. He's still in his prime. Several good years ahead of him. I plan to give him a great life here with us. I hope to train him up and hopefully he becomes a great watchdog. I needed another dog here anyway, one who can help Cody patrol the area, especially at night. I'm looking forward to it all.
My leg is feeling great today! I felt it a bit this morning, though so I made the decision to not do Anything today! By tomorrow morning, I should be ready to roll. So I'm gonna spend my evening outside cutting weeds and working on my yard. I'm looking forward to that. The clouds are rolling in, it looks like. Hopefully it'll be nice and cool later. Well, that's all I've got for today! My Fyrescape is still on 100%. Just taking a breather day to welcome our new family member, Cooper, and for letting my leg get well enough to help me drop the rest of my 300 pound weight Forever and Ever! Have an extraordinary afternoon! ;)

Day Sixty Nine
Ok, yesterday I told Lisa that I was going to take a Rest Day today, only because my leg and how it was feeling. Well I woke up at about 5:45 this morning. My body, well it craved walking. It was nice and cool out and my leg was feeling...well sort of ok. It didn't feel as bad as yesterday, but I could still feel that jammed feeling in my joint. I figured it was ok. So, I headed out with Cody. I planned on being back home before lisa got back at around 7:30 or so. I walked pretty good. I kept up a good pace. My leg didn't bother me any once I got started. I definitely surprsied myself again. Like I said, my body just craves that walk everyday.
Coming home, well when I was almost home, my parent's dog, Cooper, came running up to me and Cody. The poor dog had porcupine quills all over his nose and mouth. He looked bad. Yesterday, I got a text from my mom saying that they had to put down their other dog, Suzie, because she came home with quills all over her face and in her throat. She ran off with Cooper a few days back. They didn't care about Cooper anymore. He kept running off and they claim he didn't want to be there anymore. A while back, they kept asking me if I wanted him and I kept telling them NO. It's not that I didn't like him, it's just that I didn't want their dog because he wouldn't feel at home here since they only live just down the road. He would probably keep running over to their house. Anyway, so Cooper came up to me on my walk home and like I said, he looked bad. I knew he wanted help and no one else was going to help him. About a year ago, Cody ran off from home. This was when he was still in his idiot puppy mode. He ran off for a few days and came home with quills all over his face. It was so bad, the worse case I've ever seen. I spend 3 hours pulling quills out of his face, nose, head, neck, chest, paws, mouth and even his tail. We counted over 400 quills, but I took care of him. So, needless to say I've had much experience with this sort of thing. When I was a kid, my dog, Dillon, came home with quills in his nose and I pulled them all out of him too. Cooper's case was bad, but I knew I could get them all out. Not nearly as bad as Cody's was that one time. So I got him down and got my tools, then started pulling them out. He yelped a lot and he kept squirming. When Lisa came home, she helped hold him down for me. He bled a lot, but that's all part of it. It took about almost 2 hours only because he wouldn't lay still. The quills were so deep in his skin. Crazy dog! I got them all out, however. Just like I knew I would. I cleaned up his mouth. He was pretty swollen around his nose and lips. He was so thirsty too and hungry so we gave him a big bowl of water and some food. He downed it all quick. Then, I called my mom. Of course, they hate Cooper now. They blame him for Suzie. I was pissed because if they would've brought Suzie to me, I know I could've taken all those quills out of her face. Instead, they just put her down. Made me so mad. And now, they don't want Cooper. They're pissed at him. I was mad, I'm like, well damn if you guys quit letting him loose, he wouldn't be running off like that. It's not Cooper's fault, it's YOURS because you kept letting them loose! Anyway, so guess what I did, I decided to take Cooper in as one of my own, BUT, big BUT though, I asked my mom to help me get a heartworm test tomorrow morning! Also, I asked her to buy him a 6 month supply of heartworm pills. She agreed so we're going to do that tomorrow. I'll only keep him if he's heartworm free. My animals do not have heartworms and Cody is on heart guard pills. I'm so scared. I don't think Cooper has heartworms because he seems really energetic. Most dogs that have them are really slow and get tired easily because that's what heartworms do to animals. I'm scared though. I won't know until tomorrow so I'm praying that he's ok. It's just a big worry thing today because if he does have heartworms, I have no idea what I'm going to do with him because I can't afford treatments and my parents don't want him, and I don't want him around my other animals, so it's just a big question mark right now. I sure hope it works out for the best. I went up town and bought Cooper a collar, a leash and I have him tied up in the dog pen so he won't run off. I hope all turns out ok.
So this evening, I did NOT want to go walking. I wanted to give my leg a rest, but dammit, what did I end up doing? Yes, walking. I am so stubborn, or maybe the better word is determined ;) I didn't walk the entire thing though. I didn't decide to get out there and do it until around 7:30pm. By then, there was so many ppl going down to the river and walking around down there, I hated it. All of them had dogs. I can't go down there because I have Cody and I don't keep him on a leash. I let him run loose. Well, when he does that, he sees other dogs then runs after them. It pisses me off, so I knew I had to just stop and turn around. I'm just gonna take it easy the rest of the night. I really need to rest my leg though so whether I like it or not, I'm going to probably only do 3 miles tomorrow. My leg is not as bad, but still feeling funky. I gotta go easy on it.
Ok, this was a long and busy/crazy day. I sure hope things work out with Cooper tomorrow. We shall wait and see. Now, I'm calling it a day. Goodnight!

Day Sixty Eight
Ok, this morning, my leg was really not feeling good. Remember yesterday I said my leg was feeling pretty worn around my joint above my thigh on the left side? Well, it felt worse today. Closest thing I can think of as to how it feels, is that it feels jammed. Last night, I layed back and had Lisa grab my left leg. She pulled it pretty hard and my entire leg popped. Oh my goodness, that felt so good. Like my leg really needed that. I've never felt it pop like that before. I didn't plan on walking any today because of my leg, but we did anyway. We took a slow walk this morning after helping Lisa's mom move some of her stuff. It was kinda late, we didn't head out there until about 10am. That's late for a walk because it's usually pretty hot. It was cloudy today though so at 10, it was still kinda cool with a slight breeze so it was nice for us. Oh man my leg was not feeling so hot though. It still felt jammed, though I think it's because I ran yesterday. That really put some wear on it because I hadn't ran that far in a long time. So, I decided to take it easy the rest of the day. We finished out the 3 miles, then I stayed inside the day and just kept stretching it out. Lisa went to bed at 2pm because she's workin graveyard shift tonight.
I've been drinking lots of water. I'll admit, my food hasn't been all that good these past few days. I finally started eating salad again today. I've been totally out of food so I haven't had the ones I really wanted. I'm out of veggies, fruits, salads and light meats. I'm still downing lots of water, and I do have the ocassional diet coke or diet Dr. Pepper. I love those now! I'll need to, when I get some more money, stock the fridge with lots of good healthy foods. Until then, I'm gonna stick to exercise and hopefully later this week after my leg feels better, I'm gonna add some DDPyoga in there with my workouts. Long way to go still, but I'm getting there.
Time for bed now. Goodnight!

Day Sixty Seven
Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to say, today was an Awesome day of exercise!! This morning, I did a strong 3 miles. I added some running in there. I hadn't really planned on doing an evening 3 miles, but I did anyway. I always tend to do that! I say that I'm not going to do one, but I end up doing it. It's neat because my body just craves the exercise now. Even when I'm set on not doing it and wanting to give my legs and/or feet a rest, I still wanna get out there and do it so I end up doing so.
The evening walk was Amazing! I took Lisa with me. She hadn't walked with me in a while. I hit it pretty strong at a fast pace. Non-stop all the way down. Lisa was surprised at that. She kept wondering when we were going to take a quick rest break, but I told her that I never do that. I do then entire 3 miles non-stop. When I got to my last stretch on the walk, I ran. I ran a good distance. Totally surprised myself. It was amazing how easy it seemed to me. I know that when I get in the running mode once I'm in the two hundred pound range, I'm going to do great! My body is just craving that. Wanting to get it done, wanting to start now, but I can't. I feel my body is still a bit heavy to be running like that daily. Even that short run I did today, that took a toll on my left leg. It's feeling kinda worn, but I don't know, it might not have been my run. It's been feeling kinda strange lately. Right around my joint above my thigh. Hopefully it gets better!
So my July 4th dinner at my families place went really well. Everyone had a great time. The surprising thing was my uncle being there. He came home, finally. It's good to see him there with his family. We all talked, laughed and had a good time. One of my cousins shot off a firework that kinda tilted and came straight at all of us sitting down watching, then exploded lol. Oh man, that was crazy! Everyone got a good scare and laugh out of that one. The food was good. I'll defintely have to get in a good walk tomorrow. It was all worth it though. Spending time with the family always makes the time pass beautifully.
Well, today was a great day! 6 miles completed as well as some running. I know I'm doing great! I've been getting compliments on my new look. Ppl can really see my weight loss now and it feels so good to hear compliments. I haven't heard a compliment like these in years and years. Just motivates me to keep on going! Everyday. Same Goal. Make an IMPACT ;) Goodnight!

Day Sixty Six
Today was pretty good. We went to see Transformers: Age of Extinction. Took Lees, my dad and my brother to watch it. First off, I started out the day with my 3 miles. Came home, got ready, then we headed to the theater. It was good, but they (dad and bro) didn't seem to like it very much, which sucked. Afterwards, they told me that it was great and they enjoyed it, but my dad had a crushing headache and my brother had allergies really bad.
Anyway, Lisa was late for work lol. She didn't remember she had to go in a 2pm today. Here it was, almost 3 and we were still out cruisin the town after the movie haha. Crazy, but she got there. It was ok! I did not do my 3 miles this evening. I wanted to, but my foot was really hurting. I really need some new shoes. Pissed me off, but I needed to rest it up. Defintely tomorrow.
Tonight, I went to watch the Fireworks show here in town. I was supposed to see it with my mom, dad, and brother but I couldn't find them. It was a good show, but short. Really short. Afterwards, though, I met them as Sonic for a snack. We talked about the dinner they're planning to have tomorrow. Sounds like fun. I'm lookin forward to exercising tomorrow morning. I sure feel down knowing that I didn't get it done this evening. I'm always that way when I don't finish out my 6 miles. Anyway, time for bed. Goodnight!

Day Sixty Five
Just as I said yesterday, I got up extra early today! I set my alarm for 6am. Got washed up, then Cody and I headed out on our 3 miles. I went to bed early last night. 11pm ;) Yes, for me that's early so when I woke up, I was so rested and awake! I felt Great this morning. My body took a bit to actually wake up though lol, but it was all good. I finished my 3 miles in a little over an hour. I tried matching up my time from yesterday, but No Dice!
After cleaning up, Lees and I went to help her mom and her mom's boyfriend, move out of their place. That was pretty ok. Afterwards, I bought Lisa some Subway for lunch and then I took her home. I went to pick up my dad after that and I took him up town to get some propane. They're having a big get-together on July 4th and inviting everyone so he's getting his grill ready. I saved him some money today too which was Awesome. He usually gets his propane at a gas station and they charge an arm and a leg there. So I took him up to the place where I get my propane. It was great and saved him 6 bucks. He was pretty happy. After that, I took him to a hardware store so he could get some A/C cooler pads. I enjoyed that time. I love spending time with my dad. He and I really get along. Tomorrow, I'm planning on taking him, Lisa and my brother Kyle to go watch, Transformers: Age of Extinction. Yup, we're gonna go see it again. That is such an Amazing movie. I can't wait!!
This evening, I did my second 3 miles. I left at 5:10pm. Omgosh I can't tell you how HOT it was out there! Seriously, yesterday it was hot but there was a light breeze which really helped me. Today there was Nothing! Totally still outside so that heat was intense! I tried matching my time, but coming back it was so hot and I think that slowed me down a bit lol. I finished in one hour and ten mins. Close, but again, No Dice! I was happy though. Cody kept jumping in the ditch to cool off. I so wish I could've done that. I was tempted because of the heat. Oh well, fitness first ;) I'm proud!!
So, finished my 6 miles for the day and spent time with family. Looking forward to tomorrow and the movie! I'm gonna rest my feet. They are hurtin. Goodnight!

Day Sixty Four
Today I really surprised myself ;) This morning, I did my 3 miles. I can't say that I did it really quick because it wasn't. It was pretty cool as far at the weather went. I went kinda early, but tomorrow I'm definitely gonna make it earlier.
When I got home, I cut more weeds. I'm sure comin along on that task! I don't think I'll be done my July 4th though. There are so many out there and it's too damn hot lol. I'll get it though.
Lisa was off today but as far as exercising, she's really been slacking. She lost about 9 pounds so far, but she's at a hault because of some personal problems she's dealing with. That's a big downfall for anyone who tries to exercise. You really need to put fitness as your first priority! If you have problems that you're dealing with, get out there and work out. That is a great stress reliever, you have no idea. Just go do it!
Anyway, what really surprised me was my second walk/run to finish out my 6 miles. I left about 4:55pm. I got out here, it was so hot, but I pushed it. I did a swift walk and really hit it! I finished my 3 miles in one hour!!!! My best time yet! It usually takes me an hour and a half to finish and when I really hustle, I can get it done in an hour and fifteen mins. Today, afternoon heat and all, I got done in one hour! Omgosh I was so happy and proud of myself. I asked God for strength and He blessed me! Seriously ppl, if you do Anything in your life, don't Ever forget God. For thru Him, we can do All Things! Remember that.
So today was Great! I finished my daily 6 miles. Tomororw I'm goin to help Lisa's mom move some of her stuff out of her place. She wants help at 8:15am so I'm gonna get up extra early so I can do my 3 miles before the day starts. Right now, I'm totally beat. I'm so tired and I'm surprised I finished writing this. I'm off to snooze. Goodnight!
