TODAY IS MY DAD'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!! WOOHOO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!
It's really crazy, my dad is exactly 20 years older than me and my grandpa is exactly 20 years older than him. This year, I turned 33. My dad turns 53. My grandpa turns 73. hahaha that's so cool! They're both still really healthy, and my grandpa is doing great especially since his knee surgery this year. It's been an Awesome year for all of us. I'm so thankful to God for my dad and my grandpa. My dad had his heart surgery and he's doing great! Grandpa had knee surgery on both his knees and he's doing really awesome, so good in fact that he's working again building decks, ramps and remodeling bathrooms and doors. I'm so proud of both of them!
Anyway, we went to church today. I put my dad on the spot. Pastor called on me to stand up and talk about the Christmas Program coming up Next Sunday night. So when I did, before sitting down, I announced that it was dad's birthday! Everyone sang to him. He was very embarrassed LOL. It was a long service and we had our business meeting afterwards. I'm the new moderator for the meetings. I'm very no nonsense kinda guy and I get to the point. My mom didn't like being moderator anymore because I guess she couldn't really maintain control. Everyone always drifted off talking amongst each other instead of doing the meeting so they would last forever. Me, I make darn sure that we stick to the meeting. Anyway, it was my first meeting and it went pretty well. I kept everyone in line and made sure that we got all the business out of the way! It was Awesome. Can't wait for next month ;}
At 4:30pm I met mom, dad, my sis and bro at a restaurant of dad's choice, which was the exact same restaurant that I took him to last year on his birthday lol. Becoming a tradition maybe! We ate there! I was really checkin out the waitress, and I think she was checkin me out also. That was very cool. We had a good dinner. Afterwards, I followed them to Lowes to get their Christmas Tree. I had my truck so they asked if I could haul it home for them. After we got back, my mom had cake and ice cream waiting so we all sat down together. I wish Lisa was there with us, but she was working. Back to work after her long Thanksgiving break. She'll be working until the 19th of December, then she'll have her Christmas Vacation, yay!! Anyway, while having cake, I told everyone that I'd be taking a few days off from walking. I told them about my hurt foot. Dad told me I shouldn't have walked when it was muddy out there. They all agreed that I need to not walk for a while. Today, my heel is still hurting. I feel it when I get up in the morning, really bad! So another day of rest.
Today was a great day! Dad had a great birthday, I think. I bought him a Harley Davidson calendar and Season One of that show 'The Following'. He really liked them! He's so lucky his birthday is in December. He gets two chances for gifts hahaha :D Ok, well that's all for the day! Goodnight and again, Happy Birthday to my dad! God Bless.
