Ok, so today was pretty tough for me. Got up this morning, then headed out to walk. I didn't get very far from the house when my feet really started feeling cruddy. The blisters I popped yesterday, well they weren't quite healed so walking on them, especially the one on my left foot which was directly under my second small toe, was really painful. Lisa was with me and when she saw me start to hobble, she asked if I needed to take a rest and not walk that morning. I thought about it a bit, then decided that I should just take it easy that morning! I defintely don't wanna make my feet more sore than they already are. It really sux having bad shoes. That's why I got those blisters in the first place. My shoes are so worn out that they are a killer on my feet. I mean, c'mon, 6 miles everyday in those cruddy shoes. Not good! Anyway, we ended up just turning around and I took it easy this morning. Instead, we ate a quick breakfast, then as I mentioned yesterday, we went up town to help her mom move some of her stuff to her new place. That was ok, but man walking around sure didn't help my rest.
Later on in the day, after helping her mom, we got groceries then came home. My dad called me and wanted help at the church, hanging a huge sign up on the outside wall of our church. More walking around. So Lees and I hurried over to the church. Also hard on my feet. When we got there, they had already done the work so we just greeted everyone and visited for a short while, then we headed home. I rested up for a couple hours, then we went up town for a sweet treat! I got an ice cream and DQ. I been craving one so bad for weeks. Figured it was the perfect time to have one since it was a hot summer afternoon. It was getting cloudy too, so it was a nice drive into town.
When we got home, Lisa went to bed because she had to work the graveyard shift. I felt pretty guilty over eating ice cream lol. So, I taped up my toe, put on my other pair of shoes and I headed out to do my first 3 miles of the day. My foot was feeling better so I went ahead and did it. I guess all that running around and walking really hardened my feet. It was a great walk! Plus, the clouds rolled in and it was cloudy, cool and even sprinkled a little. I could not pass up that Amazing weather, so I really did want to walk. After getting back, I was tempted to walk again to get my 6 miles done for the day, but I decided not to push it. As long as I did atleast 3 miles, I'm good for the day.
Well, tomorrow the Vacation Bible School team from Central Baptist in Oklahoma City, will be arrive at our church. They are part of our church family and we have them every summer. This past year, we almost lost our church to this crazy, ex-criminal/ex-con who lied his way into our pulpit. He was an evil man and we almost lost the battle, but with the help of God, we finally got him out of there. Anyway, because of that event which happened at the start of the year, Central Baptist didn't think they were gonna be coming but since we were able to get that crazy guy out of there and got our church back, they are very happy and excited so they still planned on coming out. They'll be here tomorrow so our church members are very happy. That's something to look forward to. I still gotta get my walks/runs in everyday this week though. Fyrescape is still going on, no matter what ;) Goodnight!
