Today is Lisa's Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to my Best Pal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a great day! I didn't dedicate too much of today to exercise. I figured that being Lisa's day, we were both entitled to an easy one. So this morning, I just did 3 miles. Lisa was going to walk, but after I got back from my 3 miles. I was about to head out again with her, but I got a call from my dad asking me if I could go to the church and haul off their trash because the VBS ppl didn't know what to do with it. I told him I would, but that I would have to do it quick because it was Lisa's birthday and that we had stuff planned that she wanted to do. I'm pretty sure they forgot that today was the day. So I didn't go on my 6 miles. Just did 3. A few moments later, my dad calls back and said that I didn't need to worry about the trash, that he'd get my brother to do it. I was so glad! He said to spend the day with Lisa, which was the plan.
After that, instead on finishing out my 6 miles and Lisa running her 3, we got ready then I took her to breakfast. She wanted to go to restaurants that she'd never been to. So, for breakfast, we went to the Northern Edge Casino. I heard the food was good there from just about everyone I know. We cruised up there and ate. The restaurant itself was closed, just the food court was open. We got food....ugh it was terrible! It tasted really undercooked and the hashbrowns that I ordered tasted like rubber. They must've been old and just reheated. They sure as heck weren't fresh! We were very disappointed in the food. So we got a drink, then we played the slots for a bit. We won some, lost some. We only played 20 bucks. Nothin more. Afterwards, we left and went to the church. We caught a few minutes of the last day of VBS. I didn't stay inside with Lisa long because my dad needed help. My brother was finally hauling off the trash and they asked me for my straps so they could tie the trash cans down. I went out there and helped them with that. My grandma was starting to get all dictative with me again, as she always does. I get so tired of being the ONLY one who she calls to do anything! Oh man, she used to be really bad long time ago. One day, here's a small example, she came to my apartment in town in the middle of the day. She opens my door, without knocking, waltzes right in, she tosses her damn keys in my lap, then says "here go wash my car and check the oil" then she takes off her glasses and lies on my other couch and goes to sleep. WTF!!!! That's exactly how bad she got at one point. I got so sick of how bad she was getting that one day I had enough and I got into it with her. I yelled at her and we got in a huge argument. We didn't talk for about 2 months. It was awful. Anyway, I put her in her place so now, she doesn't treat me that way anymore, but every now and then, I see glimpses of how she used to be in the little things she does and says. It's just something I gotta watch out for.
Anyway, after we left the church, Lisa wanted to go see a movie so we headed up to the theater and we watched, The Purge: Anarchy. It was pretty crazy! Intense movie. I'd say it was way better than the first one. We both enjoyed it. Lisa liked the dude who played the main character lol. I treated both of us to Diet Coke and Popcorn during the movie. Afterwards, she was hungry since she didn't eat any of the horrible breakfast from earlier. So, I took her to a brand new restaurant that just opened recently, Buffalo Wild Wings. That place was Awesome!! I really enjoyed it in there. The service was really great. The food was excellent! We had a great time. Some of the wings we ordered were spicy and it was so fun watching Lisa eat those. She really went all out on her 29th birthday. By the time we were done eating, she wanted to go home lol. Her mouth was burning and her stomach was turning. She had fun though. It was a very fun day! She even saw some of her work buddies in there. After, went went home. I tended to my dogs, making sure they had plenty of shade and water. We blasted the A/C and Lisa went to lay down for a bit to settle her stomach. I caught up on my blogs and let her rest.
About an hour later, we got ready and left again. We headed up to the bank, then it was time to buy Lisa some birthday gifts. Rather than buying her stuff this year and wrapping them up as gifts, I instead decided to take her to stores and buy her things directly. I never know what she likes anyway. Our first stop was Hastings because she's really into books. She wanted a certain book. We spend a while in there while she looked for her book, which she ended up Not finding. So we left. The revival at our church was about to start and it was the last one of the week. Central Baptist would be heading home tomorrow so Lisa wanted to go to that. We had invited my mom, dad, brother and my grandma to our place later that night for ice cream cake, which is what Lisa had wanted. So after Hastings, we headed over to Dairy Queen and I got Lisa a really nice ice cream cake which she picked out. I had her nickname, Skye, written on it. It was really nice and she loved it. By this point, it was almost 7pm. We raced home, straightened up the place, then put her cake in the freezer and we got ready. We headed to church and sat in for the last day of Revival. It was good! We were late, but we still caught a good amount of it. After service, everyone said their goodbyes to Central Baptist and thanked them for coming out. It seems that we are planning to have them back next summer, which I hope is the case because they do such a wonderful job.
Lisa talked to some of the ppl she grew to know and said her goodbyes to them. Me, I really like those ppl, but they seem kinda awkward around me lol. Well, the girls do. Shy, in a way. That's ok though, I don't mind. When I was a teenager, there was an thing that happened between me and this girl from Central Baptist named, Krista. She was this beautiful girl that really liked me, and I, her. We really hit it off....the only problem was I was almost 19 at the time and she was really young, which I did not know because she didn't tell me. She was aparently only like 13 or 14. That was crazy! She didn't look that young. She looked like she was 17, maybe 18...but no. So when I tried looking up her number by calling Everyone, then eventually calling her...oh my gosh, yeah that looked really bad. I was calling a girl who was way WAY too young for me at the time. She was just a kid, and I had already been out of high school for a year. I graduated when I was 17. Dang! Our friendship ended not too long after that and we never spoke again. I didn't find out how old she was then until several years later. I saw her on myspace one day and I saw her age. She was alot younger than me so I calculated her age and how old she was back then when I met her and yup, she was only like 13 or 14. My gosh, I was so embarassed. When we became myspace friends, I told her that I was sorry for all that and I told her that I wanted to apologize to her family if I could because I didn't realize she was as young as she was and that I should've stayed away from her in that way. Well, she deleted me off her friends list right after I said that and she never spoke to me again. Yeah, so that was all on her. She was married at the time and had kids too, so anyway.
Ok I'm rambling on about that. Anyway, after church we headed to Walmart. I still wanted to buy Lisa some gifts. We got there and bought some stuff like plates, cups and Diet Dr. Pepper to serve when we had cake. It was pretty late already. By this point, it was 9:20pm. We walked around after that and Lisa chose to have makeup as her gifts. That was so weird for me! I'm sure standing in the makeup section with her while she picked out what she wanted. She's all excited. Me, I have no idea what any of that stuff was. She's asking me about this and that. I'm like, ok whatever, all this stuff looks the same to me. She said she wanted something for her lips so I picked out this nice looking color and said, here what about this one?! She looks at me oddly then says, "That's nail polish" ...oh. It was funny! Well she picked out all the stuff she wanted. She was very happy and excited. After that we left. By the time we got home, it was just about 10pm. We got everything ready and called to make sure they were all coming. Finally, sometime after 10, they all finally showed up. My mom and dad were still with Central Baptist at the church.
We all had cake. I put 29 candles on Lisa's cake and lit them all up. We sang Happy Birthday to her and I had her put on these birthday shades I bought her at Walmart that had guitars on them hahaha. They looked so funny! She wore those before blowing out her candles and I took a couple pix of her. It was so fun! We ate cake and had good, funny conversation. My mom and dad bought Lisa a cookbook and a set of nice bowls, or dishes. Something like that. Also, earlier today when we watched The Purge. We bought tickets for tomorrow to go see, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, again. I was going to take my brother to see it along with Lisa. My dad decided to go also so I planned to buy him a ticket tomorrow. We made those plans, then everyone left. We cleaned up the kitchen a bit, then we both sat down finally and watched a bit of TNA IMPACTwrestling. I didn't get thru a lot of it because I was so tired.
That was the day! Lisa had a wonderful birthday. Not only was it fun for her, but for me also! I always enjoy giving Lisa a great day and today was Awesome!! She had so much fun and she was very happy. I'm glad to have given her a beautiful day and I thank God that He blessed us with a very cherished and memorable day! I wish Lisa many more Awesome years!
Happy Birthday, Lees!!!!!! Goodnight ;)
