I'm definitely marking today because THIS...IS...THE DANCE!
Today was hardcore exercising! I finally am stepping it up. The great thing about it is that Lisa is right there next to me getting busy as well. We did 3 miles this morning about 8:45am. I realize that the past month, I've been doing my 3 miles, but I haven't really been pushing myself. More like a 3 mile stroll. I think that's why it hasn't really been doing much for me. Dammit, this time I'm doing it differently. I did 3 miles today and I freakin pushed it. I did a power walk all the way down and back. 3 miles of fast pace walking. I really want to build back up to running. I was able to run a bit a couple months back, but right now I don't wanna push my knee too bad. Last thing I need is for my knee to start giving me problems.
After the walk, we came home and we both did some fast jump rope. Oh man, that really did a number on me. I've had a jump rope, actually both of us have one, for a while now but we've never used them. I've just been putting it off until the next day. MAKE A NOTE OF THAT: DON'T EVER PUT SOMETHING OFF, NOT EVEN FOR A DAY BECAUSE THAT ONE DAY WILL TURN INTO A YEAR! That was my problem, that's why I haven't really pushed myself. I'm really glad I checked my weight the other day because if I hadn't, I sure wouldn't have started to push myself again like I did today. Anyway, I did a lot of jump rope. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt my knee, but oh man it gave my calves a workout and especially my abs. That really targeted my abs hardcore. After the jump roping, I did some weightlifting. I did some dead lifts, squats (but those did kinda hurt my knee because my form was bad since the bar I'm using is too short for me so my squats aren't very good. I need a longer weight bar). I also did some curls with my weights and some bench presses. I'm teaching Lisa how to fight also. She's been wanting to learn for a long time. I've taught her some, but we did some refresher moves today and now she's really picking it back up. We did that for a while also. She's also practicing the moves I taught her with her bo staff. She's really getting used to that thing. All in all, today we really kicked arse out there! By the afternoon, we were both really sore and right now as I'm writing this, my abs are sore but more than that, my legs are really Really sore. My thighs are sore as heck and really burnt out. I'm hobbling around everywhere lol. I'm also drinking water again. See how much I slacked off?! I haven't felt this sore in a long LONG time, seriously!! I really was not pushing myself at all! I'm getting back to drinking a gallon of water per day. I have my own water jug for that and I'm trying to finish it all. I almost finished one today. I've got a bit more to go, hopefully I can finish it but if I can't, then I'm going to try again tomorrow and again the next day and the next day all the way until summertime again.
The rest of the day was pretty mellow. I'm glad Lisa was off today! As sore as we both were, I wouldn't have wanted her to work today. Crazy! Well, until tomorrow, Goodnight!
