Crazy day! I got up early this morning. I headed out and did my 6 miles. I did something different today though. I went on a different route than usual but still did the same distance. Oh man, that was not a good idea. I usually do 3 miles, then I'll rest for about 10 mins and stretch out my legs, get off my feet, then head out again to finish off my six miles. This route ended up causing me to do the whole thing non-stop! Dang, my feet were really worn out by the time I got back. I need some better padding in my shoes if I'm going to be doin this. I added some running in there also so that made it more challenging, but I got it done ;) Cody did the whole thing with me. Cooper didn't. Poor dog, he was so tuckered out by the end of the 5th mile that I took him home then finished it out with Cody. Cooper is smaller and for some reason, he's chubby. He's got a round belly. I call him a butterball lol. I need to get him on a diet. So he sat out the rest of the walk and Cody came with me.
I did some weightlifting today which really helped out. I wasn't feeling sore from yesterday which was great! I'm going to keep that up. I haven't did a bowflex workout in a while so I'm going to start that up again. Yoga is good, but my feet were hurting way too bad to do that today. Doing 6 miles really does take it's toll. I've been doing that all summer. Three weeks of not doing 6 miles, that really took it's toll also. That first week I was hunting so I didn't do 6 miles. Instead, I was hiking those mountains for 8 hours everyday that week. The second week we were home, but my ankle was swollen because of my accident out there, and my knee was hurting so I had to stay off it. The third week I was walking again, but in order to strengthen myself up again and not push my knee or my ankle, I only did 3 miles that whole week. Now, the fourth week, I'm back to 6 miles but I tell you it's really tough lol. Feels great when I'm done though, my legs are on Fire in a good way!
Ok now for the crazy part. We went to see that movie, Annabelle, today :O I've heard a lot of ppl say that it was stupid...boring...not scary. My brother and sister apparently both said that. Well, I watched it today and let me tell you...IT WAS SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't say that enough. I mean, I've seen lots of scary movies. I love them! There are very few movies that can really get me going. I never sit there and try and act like a tough guy and say, "that wasn't scary" or start criticizing it just to act tough. A lot of idiots do that and it's stupid! I mean, if it's not scary, then fine! You don't need to go plaster it all over the evening news. Damn, scary movies are supposed to be fun to watch! That's why they exist, for our entertainment. I watch scary movies to get scared, as everybody does. If it's not scary, I'll still enjoy watching it. I won't go around telling ppl that I didn't get scared. That's stupid! Anyway, this movie Annabelle, I was genuinely scared :( It scared the hell out of me. There's a scene in the movie where the woman finds this baby crying really loud, then sees something stand up behind it in the dark....then this thing chasing her up the stairs....oooooohHhOOOh dammit it freaks me out just thinking about it! I was breathing so heavily in there. Honestly, I've never been that freaked out in a theater. Never!! I have gotten spooked, but not that scared. That was really creepy! I think that hit some of my deepest fears, that whole elevator scene and her getting chased up the stairway. That did it for me! So anyone who says that Annabelle wasn't scary, well you are either lying, or you're so scared that you don't want to be scared so you won't allow yourself to be. So, you wanna show how tough you are, watch that movie BY YOURSELF, IN THE DARK, REALLY LOUD and without your cell phone or any other distractions. Do that, then you come out of there laughing, you can come to me and tell me it wasn't scary. So yeah, that was my whole take on that movie. Creepy!!!!
Now the other part of my crazy day was tonight! Lees and I were watching a movie...
(by the way, Lees is NOT my girlfriend! She's just my best friend and we're actually related in some way, but I'm not sure exactly how. She lives with me because I have a 3 bedroom place and it's just me plus I've been taking care of her since she was a teenager when her mom basically chose to kick her out because her boyfriend didn't like her (Lees). He actually told her mom to choose, him or her daughter, so her mom looks at Lisa and says "goodbye" and called the cops on her to kick her out on the streets since she was 18, but she was still in high school. So the cops came and chased Lisa out of her own house while her mom stayed upstairs screwing her boyfriend. I lived in Albuquerque at the time. None of Lisa's family would take her in. They kept tossing her from place to place. Lisa was on the verge of giving up, so I moved back here. I took her in. I put her through her senior year of high school and I paid for all her graduation stuff and even bought her a class ring. Afterwards, I helped her get a vehicle and a job. She's been here with me ever since. Wherever I am, she is. We are solid partners, in a non-romantic way. That's the short story of us. I've always been there for her, and she's been there for me. Right now, she's going to college to become a nurse. She's doing so good and is one of the top students in all her classes and she's a member of the National Honor Society of Leadership! I'm so proud of her. I'm thankful to God that He put her in my life. We are best friends! That's why I'm still a single guy too. Everyone thinks she and I are a couple just because we're always together so the ladies stay away from me lol. Oh well, that whole situation will work itself out in time.)
...and Cody was barking, so was Cooper. So thinking there was a stray outside eating my cats' food, I went out there. Lisa came with me and we were looking around trying to see if there was anything out there. We both walked over to Cody and while we were standing there, we heard a loud gunshot down by the ditch, which is where I do my 6 miles every morning. A few seconds later, there was another shot, then another. Six shots total and this being 10pm at night, that was pretty alarming! So I called the cops. I told them there were some gunshots down by the ditch toward the river. They said they were going to send an officer down there. So, I waited. I saw a vehicle come up from the ditch some time after, and leave. A while later, the cops showed up. They had their spotlights down there and they were driving all around. They are still out there right now shining their lights everywhere. So, that being said, there is NO WAY I'm going to go on my walk/run tomorrow. My luck, I might find a dead body and get blamed for it lol. So hopefully they look around and if there's any crazy changes, they should call me.
So yeah, that was my day! Now I'm going to keep an ear open and try to get some sleep. Hopefully it's nothing but seriously, ppl shouldn't be shooting guns down there! I mean for crying out loud, there's ppl who live up here! What if one of them bullets come up toward the homes. Crazy! Ok, more to report tomorrow. Goodnight!
