Day Thirty Nine

Today was an exciting day!  Got up early and did my 2 1/2 miles.  I hit it hard too and did some serious walking.  My legs feel stronger and I so can't wait to start up running.  I wanna do it soon, but I still wanna get my legs stronger first and drop a bit more weight.  Don't wanna put too much strain on my knees.

After getting home.  We cleaned up and then I took Lisa to see 'Edge of Tomorrow'.   Oh man, that was an Amazing movie!!  I'm a big Tom Cruise fan.  He makes Awesome movies.  That was a great flick.  Lisa liked it.  Emily Blunt is super hot.  I loved her in that movie.  I suggest you watch it if you haven't already.  Definitely my kinda movie!  After, I took Lees to Fuddruckers to get her a hamburger.  She was hungry.  I told her she could go ahead and have a burger since she's been walking 4 1/2 miles at her work just about everyday so she'll burn off those extra calories.  Me on the other hand, I resisted the burger and instead got a grilled chicken salad.  It was on the healthy menu under 600 calories, Woohoo!!!!  I got that and just finished the Diet Coke I got in the theater.  Dang that was a very good lunch.  That held me off all day long.  I was so full after because it was a big salad.  Very delicious!!!

This afternoon, I finished out my 5 miles!  Dammit, I am determined to get back to 5 miles everyday as well as DDPyoga and Bowflex workouts thrown in there.  Anyway, Cody and I did the other 2 1/2 miles afternoon.  I wanted to watch a show at 6pm so we headed out early, around 4:30pm.  It was so super hot outside, but I kept a strong, swift walk without stopping all the way to and back.  One big sidetrack happened on the way back though.  Cody and I saw a snake down by the ditch.  Oh man it was a HUGE snake!!!!  Damn thing must've been about 3 1/2 to 4 feet long.  Big and fat, probably a good 3 to 4 inches in the middle.  I got so scared because at first I thought it was a rattlesnake.  Cody barked at it and when I got closer, that's when I saw it.  Huge!  It was calm at first and I kept trying to see if it was a rattler.  It wasn't making any noise, just slipping it's tongue in and out.  So I threw a few rocks in front of it.  I was careful not to hit it, just tossed a few in front to try and get it to move so I could see it's tail.  Finally, it began to move.  It coiled up and then I heard noise....oh shit, I thought.  After listening, I realized it was just hissing at me.  It got pretty pissed off and hissed at me.  It's head kinda swelled up a bit.  I just couldn't believe how big it was.  I'd never seen a snake that big in many many years!  Finally it moved and I saw that it was just a Bull Snake.  Whew!!!  I was relieved.  Just a big Bull Snake.  When I saw that, I was calm, then I walked toward it and chased it off down to the ditch.  It slithered away down close to the water.  I watched it a bit, then Cody and I just headed home.  That was exciting!  I sure wish I had my camera/phone.  The one time I really could've used my damn phone, I left it charging at home LOL.  I told Lisa about it when she got off work.  Crazy huge Bull Snake down there!  Those things are pretty good though.  I have a bull snake that lives over nearby my place, over by my grandma's trees.  That one isn't very big though.  I tried to catch it for a couple years, but it always tends to evade me!  It can climb also.  It climbs up my grandma's trees and it climbs up underneath her vehicle.  Crazy snake.  I don't mind it though.  Bull Snakes handle the rodent population in this area, as well as the other small bad animals we don't want around here.  The Bull Snake I have here doesn't bother Jayde or my cats, so that's good.  As long as it keeps cool, he can live here as long as he wants.  I ever see that huge one I saw today, though, I'm catching that thing and hauling it off about 40 miles from my place!!!  Ain't gonna have no huge snake crawling around my place.  Crazy!

Anyway that was my day.  Great day of exercise....and snakes ooooooooo!!!!  lol.  Goodnight! ;}
