Day Sixty Three - REST DAY

Today was definitely a NEEDED rest day!  My legs were feeling pretty beat.  Another reason for this rest day was not only to let my legs rest up, especially my right foot, which has been feeling pretty worn out this past week, was because I have so many weeds around my place and I need to get them all cut.  July 4th is this Friday and I'd like to have this place pretty bare so we can lite a few Fireworks.  So I have a lot to do and that's what I did today!  This morning, I got up early and headed outside.  I cut so many weeds, raked them up and cleaned the area.  It's lookin good already.  All the weeds I cut last night, I finished raking them up into a huge pile.  When she was done with her exercises, Lees came out and gave me a hand.  She did so good and it's really starting to look clean already.  We're a long way from done though.  There are just so many.  I usually cut all the weeds around my land here every year, but last year I was working and busy so I didn't get around to it.  Now, I'm sure paying for it though because I have this years weeds, as well as those left over from last year, ugh!

I didn't do much during the afternoon.  Just stayed around home, stretching out my right leg.  It's been feeling kinda stiff lately.  Not all the time, just sometimes.  It felt good to just relax it out.  I watched some of wwe raw and oh my gosh that show was stupid!  It was so boring!!!!  I swear, the wwe just does the same'ol thing every freak month.  They're doing the same stuff they did when I was a kid, watching.  THE EXACT SAME THING!!!  The only difference is that they're using different ppl now, which is what they've been doing for years.  The only guys who did it different were Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, to name a few.  Everyone nowadays, they just do the same thing over and over and over.  Guys like John Cena...he's boring!  I used to like John Cena, until I found out that he's a bully and steals ideas from other guys.  The dude has the wwe wrapped so tightly around his finger that he can do or say pretty much anything he wants.  Big mistake on the wwe's part though.  John Cena does the same five moves in every match he has and oh my gosh it's just so damn boring!  For all the money that dude makes and especially how he runs his mouth about how he's the "hardest worker" in the wwe today, you'd think the idiot would learn how to wrestle and add some newer, more advanced moves to his character.  The dude is lazy!!!!  He does the same damn thing everyday.  I don't call that a "hard worker," I call that LAZY!  Anyway that's why I love TNA.  They do things different all the time and now they are really climbing the ladder of success.  I enjoy IMPACTwrestling every week and it's just getting better!

Ok, I better stop.  I could go on forever about wrestling!  That was my day.  Got to rest my legs but at the same time, I also got to begin really cleaning up my yard.  I'm hoping to have it pretty spiffy looking in a couple weeks.  I hope we get some rain.  That would be Awesome!!  Back at it tomorrow ;)  Goodnight!

Day Sixty Two

Finally!!  Damn I've been trying to write this blog for a while but the damn cursor wouldn't start up in the writing section.

Anyway, today I started off with my 3 miles.  I walked late though.  I didn't get out there until 9am.  That sucked because the summer heat really weighs down on you after 9:30am.  Dang!  I was sweatin pretty bad.  It was so hot out there.  I walked pretty swift for maybe the first mile and a half, but after that, the heat was too much and I really slowed down.  I was dragging by the time I topped the hill back home.  I didn't get back until 11am.  2 hours to complete, which is not good.  I average about an hour and fifteen minutes when I keep up a swift pace.  If I add some running in there, I'll get it done in an hour.  It's a long walk, 3 miles, so it takes time.  When I'm out there actually doing it, it really doesn't seem to take that long, but then when I get home, I look up at the clock and it's always the same.  Crazy!

After I got home I cleaned up, then went to church.  I was pretty late.  Church starts at 11 and that was right when I got home.  I didn't get there until after 11:30, but it was ok.  I still caught the tail end of the sermon which was great to hear.  After church, Lees and I went to lunch with my Mom, Dad, Brother and our Pastor.  That was a great time!  Our Pastor is a really outgoing and funny guy.  He's only our pastor for 2 months.  After that, I don't know what's gonna happen, but he's a good man to have.  I ate a pretty good meal.  I can defintely say my stomach isn't what it used to be.  I couldn't finish my food.  We ate at Golden Coral.  I ate one plate of delicious salad, then after that I got myself a plate of food from the buffet.  That's the one I couldn't finish.  I got so full and I diciplined myself too.  The second I felt full, I put the fork down and said, 'No More!'  I finished my Diet Pepsi, then just waited for everyone else to finish.  All in all, it was a great lunch.

Anyway, that was our afternoon.  Lisa went to work soon as we got home.  I waited until 5:30pm to do my second 3 miles.  I wanted to go at 4:30, but oh man it was just too hot out there.  I don't wanna end up gettin a huge headache from the heat so I waited.  The walk was great!  I made up for that slow pace from this morning and I hit it pretty hard.  I walked swiftly and added some running in there!  I felt really energized and just put it on into my walk.  My legs sure feel heavy though.  I'm planning on taking a rest day tomorrow.  This evening I cleaned up my foot.  A few weeks ago, I got a big blister on my heel.  It hurt then, but not anymore.  I didn't know it was still there.  Anyway, I got rid of it.  I also had a popped blood vessel or somethin underneath my heel.  It was there for a while.  It looked like a small bruise and I mean small like the size of a dime, small.  Anyway, the callus under my heel finally started to break off so I cleaned it up and ended up peeling all that dried up skin off and sure enough, it was a blood vessel or somethin of that nature.  There was dried up blood underneath that dead skin that I took off.  Crazy!  Anyway, I cleaned it all up really good, washed it up and used that heel shaver thing to scrape off the rest of the dead skin.  Now it's all smoothed off and lookin good.  Feels nice and strong when I walk too, which is Awesome!

After cleaning up my heel, I put some jeans on, some strong shoes and I headed outside and began the task of ridding my yard of weeds.  There are a lot that popped up everywhere and I never got to cutting them.  Well, today that changes!  I spent 3 hours out there cutting in the dark.  There was no moon tonight but I had my security light so I went by that light.  I cut so many and raked up what I could after.  I couldn't really see much so I know I didn't get them all.  I'll have to finish up tomorrow.  I stopped when Lisa got home from work.  I can't wait to get the place cleared off.  It'll look pretty darn nice ;)
Ok, that's about it for the day!  Finished out my 6 miles today and had an Awesome time with Family.  Lookin forward to tomorrow ;)  Goodnight!

Day Sixty One

Today was Great!!  I'm still awestruck over Transformers: Age of Extinction, which we watched yesterday!  That movie was Amazing!  I really want to see it again soon, but I may have to wait until Thursday or Friday to see it.  Definitely one of those days though.

Anyway, I started off my day with my 3 miles.  The walk wasn't all that good though because Lees and I had some interruptions.  I won't get into that, but needless to say I did finish it.  Wasn't very face paced, but I did finish it.  Ok, today was the day I checked my weight.  Last time I checked it was on Father's Day, June 15 which was a Sunday.  I weighed in at 325 pounds!  I'm down 6 more pounds.  On the 15th, I weighed 331.  So that was pretty good.  In thirteen days, I dropped 6 pounds.  Not too bad.  Well actually if you wanna get technical, it was actually ten days because three of those days I did not exercise because I was camping.  The Friday I left, I did 3 miles that morning, so I would count that day as exercising.  Anyway, it's probably pointless, but I try to look at all the facts before concluding.  So yeah, I'm down another 6 pounds.  I'm very happy.  My goal is to be in the two hundred pound range (299-) sometime in July, well before August.  So I got 25 more pounds to go.  Just note that I don't consider it a major goal.  Just something I was shooting for.  That's a lot of pounds to drop in just a month.  I'll try and see how I can do.  If I don't make it, that's totally fine.  I'm not going to kill my body out there just to reach that goal.  I still have a long long way to go to reach my goal weight of 200lbs.  Once I hit the two hundred pound range (299-) I'll be in a whole new ball game though.  That's when I'm going to be training myself to run.  I wanna get up to running 2 miles nonstop.  That's gonna be tough.  I wanted to drop a good amount of weight before I did that and I think that once I hit the two hundred pound range, I'll be at a pretty good point to start my running again.  That's gonna be fun!  I know I'll be there before September, though my goal is to be there before August.  Again, we'll see what happens ;)

This evening, I did my second 3 mile walk, finishing out my 6 miles for the day!  It was a good walk.  I gotta say though, my right knee is still kinda aching.  It feels like it's slightly jammed, or something like that.  It's not pain, just feels stiff.  I'll have to stretch it out tomorrow morning.  I ran a bit tonight.  It felt good.  My legs feel strong and my feet feel swift.

On a sadder note, one of my cats is gone.  My female cat named, Roar.  She's the other of the two kitties, Rayne and Rico.  I have no idea what happened to her.  The last time I saw her was on Thursday night when I went out to feed them.  She was here.  She ate a little food, then her kitties ate after she did.  That was it!  Friday morning, I don't remember seeing her, however, Lisa said she saw her that morning (yesterday).  I asked if she was sure and she said yes, that she'd seen her.  When I noticed for sure she was gone was last night when I went to feed them.  She usually meets me out by her little house where I put her food.  Last night she didn't show up.  I also just seen the kitties and Sebastian (their dad) playing outside, but I didn't see, Roar.  I'm gonna ask Lisa again tonight when she gets home if she was certain she saw her yesterday morning.  I don't know what happened to her.  I live quite a ways away from anyone and she never runs off.  She always stayed near her kittens.  It's a huge mystery!  I hate when my animals disappear.  Just like my dog, JETT.  One day, he was here then just a few hours later when I came home from town, he was gone and I never saw him again.  Never knew what happened to him.  I'm getting ready to put up a damn video camera outside.  Several, that way I can know what's going on out there.  Either some asshole is coming around, stealing because he's a lowlife who can't buy his own shit, or there's a damn animal coming around killing my animals.  Pisses me off!!!!  I love my animals.  They are all part of my family and I can't stand when one goes missing.

Anyway, that was my day.  Good exercise and great things happening, as well as one sad thing.  I hope Roar turns up.  I'm going to keep looking out for her.  Goodnight!

Day Sixty

Today was AWESOME!!!!  Started my day off with my 3 miles.  That was pretty good, though it was tiring.  When I got home, I quickly showered, got ready, then Lees and I headed to the theater.  We watched, Transformers: Age of Extinction.  OMG IT WAS AWESOME!!!!  Definitely one of the BEST movies I'd seen in a long time!  Yes it was way better than the first 3 Transformers movies.  Mark Wahlberg is in this one and he really brings the adult element to the franchise.  It's much more believable watching him fight those robots, rather than a teenage kid.  The music in the movie was Amazing!!  I loved the sounds of the movie.  It's long, 3 hours, but Oh man it was good.  I am definitely going to see it again.  I can't say enough about it!  Right away, when we got out I text my mom, dad and brother.  Told them to go see it!  They were wanting to see it also when I told them at dinner last night that I had already bought my tickets.

After the movie, I bought us some lunch.  I had a chicken sandwich and a Diet Coke.  We had to hurry home because Lisa had to go to work.  I just hung around home the afternoon and this evening around 6:40pm, I went out and finished out my 6 miles for the day.  Here's something strange.  Coming home on this evening's walk, I got pretty weak and a bit shaky.  It didn't feel like I was hungry, though it felt like, after thinking about it long and hard, that I was thirsty.  Then it hit me!  I tried to think of when the last time I drank water was.  I remember when I came home this morning, I just went straight to the shower, then got ready and we left.  After getting back from the movies, all I drank was the Diet Coke.  I did not have Any water today!  I was on zero.  I felt so parched.  I needed water.  I didn't even realize that I hadn't drank any today.  So much goin on this morning, I guess.  So when I got home, and the rest of the evening, I made sure to drink plenty of water.

I read this thing on Gia Marie's fitness website about water.  It said that water helps rid your body of toxins and fat.  It's more elaborate and breaks it all down, but the layman's version is that it's really good for your body.  It helps your liver and spreads nutrients throughout your body, helps cleanse the bad stuff out of your body and it makes your skin healthier.  It also helps you burn fat.  It's so helpful that it will help your body burn fat all day long.  I know this to be true because I quite Cold Turkey on the pop, sweet iced tea and sugar drinks on April 29th.  Since then, I've drank only water pretty much with the occasional juice.  I lost 30 pounds and that water had tons to do with it.  It really does work.  It's said you should drink a gallon of water per day, atleast.  That's what I'm sticking to.  So remember ppl, Drink Lots Of Water!!!!!

Ok, so I finished out 6 miles today.  I'm so happy.  I was shaving tonight and I noticed my face got a lot slimmer.  I can look at myself and honestly say that I see big changes in my face.  It's so amazing!  Fitness really does wonders.  You need your health and you wanna look good, be confident.  To do that, it's simple, just put in the work.  Nothing else is required, just put in the work and the rest will come.  Get to it!  Goodnight ;}

Day Fifty Nine

As I said yesterday, this morning, I woke up at 5:30am.  I got ready, then headed out and did my 3 miles.  I just walked, but put in a few short runs.  Dang it was tough though.  My body did not feel awake lol.  I was pretty slow coming back, but I did it.

Soon as I got back, I washed up, then Lisa and I headed out to do another day of selling DVD's.  We did pretty good.  Made another 30 bucks.  We also bought some Diet Cokes from this woman selling food next to us.  Today was a great day for that!  Nice weather.  We also took Jayde out there.  She loved it but she was being naughty and kept running around trying to explore and sniff everyone out hahaha.  Crazy little dog!  I have enough money to take Lisa to see Transformers tomorrow so right after selling, we headed up to the theater and bought advanced tickets to see it tomorrow morning at 10:55.  We got the earliest showing there was.  I'm so excited.  This movie looks like it'll be really good, I just hope it is ;)

After getting the tickets, my grandma wanted me to stop by the church because she was having problems with the door.  Yes, same one who wanted me to change her tire the other day.  So after getting my stuff done, I went out of my way to drive over to the church to fix the door.  Well, turns out she must've got tired of waiting on me so she had someone else come over and fix it.  Not even giving me the courtesy of calling to tell me I didn't need to go over there.  So yeah, that was pretty anger pinching.  Also because Lisa had to get home and go to work.  After that, we headed home and Lees got ready.  I made her another lunch before she left.

This evening, I did my walk early.  I headed out at about 4:30pm.  It was nice though because it was cloudy.  Not so hot.  Cody loved it!  It was a good walk.  I'm looking forward to the day it's raining.  That's gonna be an Awesome day for a long walk/run.  So today, I did my full 6 miles.  I was so proud.  I've really been at it since coming back from camping.  Totally proving to myself that I'm not going to quit.

Tonight was TNA IMPACTwrestling.  My mom invited me over for dinner so I cruised over there after showering, when I got home.  I watched IMPACT over there at their house.  My dad isn't into TNA, neither is my mom.  They are mainly wwe fans...ugh.  So, I watched it by myself.  My brother watched some of it with me, which was cool.  The dinner was great.  Mom cooked a healthy rice meal with vegetables.  I don't know what it was called, but it had Oryx meat in it.  It was very good and so tasty.  I stuffed myself.  When I got home, I cleaned up and put all my DVD's away.

A great day!  Looking forward to the movie tomorrow.  I'm going to get up early again, probably not as early as today though, but early enough to make it to the movie at 10:55.  Ok, time for some sweet dreams.  Goodnight!

Day Fifty Eight

Today was crazy!  We needed money, so I loaded up all my DVD's and a few other items and we headed out to town and did some selling!  I really wanna take Lisa to watch Transformers: Age of Extinction, this Friday.  So I have two days to sell and make money.  Today and Tomorrow!  So that's what we did.  I did not do my walk this morning.  I was up pretty late last night so I didn't have the time, nor the energy this morning.  Instead, we loaded up and headed out there.  We did ok.  I only made about $25 dollars, but that was good enough for one day.  I wanted to stay out there longer, but Lisa had to go to work so we quit about 1pm.  There were some really pretty girls who went over there about an hour before we left.  I was sure checking one of them out.  Lisa was making fun of me lol.  Oh and for those who don't know, Lisa is just my best friend.  We're not dating or anything.  She lives with me.  I have been taking care of her for 10 years now.  Her mom kicked her out on the streets when she was still in high school  No one would take her in, so I moved back from Albuquerque and I took her in.  I didn't have much, but I gave her a home.  I also put her thru school and bought all her graduation stuff, along with a class ring.  I pushed her to do great and she graduated in 2004.  Now, she has a great job that pays her good money and we're both living on my own land in my own place.  She's very happy now and has been for years so everything that's mine, is also hers.  My family love her and have taken her in as one of their own.  But yup, that's a quick rundown of Lisa and I.  She's my best friend and I thank God for blessing me with her friendship all these wonderful years.  We have so many great memories and adventures to look back on, and several more in the time to come.  Right now she's shooting for her nursing degree.

Anyway, so soon as we got home from selling, Lisa got ready.  I made her a quick lunch and she headed to work.  I just hung around the house until this evening, then I headed out and did my final 3 miles of the day.  I wish I did it this morning, but there was too much to do.  Tomorrow morning though, I'm planning on getting up early and doing my walk.  I want to get in my full 6 miles tomorrow.  I never want to slack.  I am going to keep up my weight loss.  Remember, my current goal is to be in the 200 pound range sometime in July.  By 200 pound range, I mean from 299lbs on down.  So, I'm going to keep it up.

So only 3 miles today but my legs still feel really strong from the restful weekend I had.  Looking forward to tomorrow.  Oh and I also dranks lots of water today!  Remember, keep drinking water when you're exercising!  Water really helps, especially when cleaning out your system.  Water and Salad are the two best things you can have on a daily basis, based upon my personal experience ;)

Ok, time for bed.  Goodnight!

Day Fifty Seven

Hello Hello!!!!!!  I'm back online!!!

Wow, this past weekend was so much fun!!!  I can't believe what a great time Lees and I had out there with Cody and Jayde.  The dogs loved it.  Cody swam!!!!  He actually swam lots.  Now Jackson Lake is/was a big reservoir and it is/was pretty deep.  The sucky thing about it this year, it was low.  Really REALLY low!!!  It was so low, we had to walk down quite a ways to actually get to the water.  That really sucked!  Honestly, if I had known how low it was, I would've probably went to another lake but I'm an idiot and I didn't check the lake before buying camping for 3 nights.  Plus, on Friday when we got there, it was dark and there wasn't anything to see.  I bought the campsite and paid the fees the next morning, but didn't go to check the lake first.  The dude working there actually said the lake had been stocked with fish last Wednesday.  1900 rainbow trout, so that really hooked my interest.  Well....the fishing sucked!  Seriously, there were fish jumping all over, but they just were not biting.  None of the bait I had worked, so that really sucked as well.  I caught only 3 fish the whole weekend.  So the fishing wasn't the good thing.  Instead, playing with Cody was what really took the cake out there.  He loved it.  I would skip rocks out in the lake and Cody would swim out there and try to get them.  He had so much fun.  He was swimming way out in the lake, just having a great time.  Jayde didn't swim.  She was kinda afraid of water, but she had fun exploring.
One night, oh man, Cody really made me proud.  We were at camp.  It was dark and pretty late.  We had just finished eating dinner.  All the sudden, Cody jumped up and growled, deeper than I've ever heard him growl before.  They he barked and chased something away.  I didn't see it, but Lisa said it was a deer.  A deer walked into our campsite and Cody chased it away!  I know, it was just a deer, but he didn't know what it was and he was protecting us.  Once something came towards us, he charged at it, protecting his family.  I was so so so proud of him!  I always thought he was too soft to do something like that, but I know now he's not.  I have so much proudness over him now.  He's a genuine watchdog now!
Anyway, I did all the cooking out there!  I cooked my first homemade hamburgers out there.  I didn't eat much bread.  Even out there, I'm still tryna watch what I eat.  I certain did not eat much.  We just ate sandwiches, mostly, and at night I would cook hot dogs or burgers over the grill.  Just a bit.  It was a camping trip so I didn't wanna go too extreme on the light foods.  We just didn't eat much.  I also packed lots of water, Diet Cokes and Diet Fresca (Lisa's favorite).  They were good.  We did have a cheat meal on Sunday afternoon though.  We were so hungry and got tired of the usual, so we drove down into Mancos and bought one large pizza.  Yup, Pizza!  I haven't had a pizza since April when we were in Albuquerque for my Dad's surgery.  It was sooo good.  I didn't eat much though.  We also shared it with Cody and Jayde.  Cody had a few slices to himself and he loved it.  Jayde had her share.  It was a good lunch and we had a great time sharing it with the dogs.  Also when I cooked in the evenings, I always cooked extra for Cody and Jayde.  They got their own hotdogs and hamburger as well.  It was such a great and fun time out there!  Lisa had lots of fun.  I didn't do much walking, however I did do some climbing!  Like I said, since the lake was so low, we had to load up all our stuff and crawl down the slopes to get to the water, then crawl back up with all our stuff so I guess you can say I did get some exercise in over the weekend.
Anyway, I also cooked a fish lisa caught on Sunday night.  Just one fish and it turned out really good.  We loaded up and headed home Monday around noon.  We had to charge up our phones before we left.  The drive home was pretty swift.  It only takes maybe an hour to get out there from home.  Not too long at all and it's a nice drive thru mountains.  When we got home though, ugh, I got super busy.  My grandma went and got a flat tire the day prior or so.  She didn't have anyone to change it.  My little brother, but he didn't do it.  My dad can't because he's still healing up from his heart surgery in April.  His chest won't be back to normal until maybe August or September.  Anyway, so when I got home, my grandma started complaining about it so as usual, I had to fix the problems.  That was a chore because one of her lug nuts was super tight!  They were all tight and I broke them loose, but one did not wanna come off.  I was so pissed off and tired.  When we got home, we unloaded the truck and put all the stuff away.  After that, we headed to town and grabbed some lunch.  I was still sweaty and stinky, I wanted to take a shower, but no I had to fix my grandma's problems first.  Don't think I'm a bad grandson.  The thing is, I'm always there for everyone in my family.  The problem is, most times I don't get much credit for the things I do.  My grandma has taken advantage of me a lot over the years.  Now, she just expects stuff.  If I'm busy, she'll expect me to drop everything I'm doing, to go do whatever it is she wants done.  She's that kind of woman.  We've had some really bad arguments and bad experiences in the past because of her behavior and attitude, but I always fixed everything.  It's gotten better, but there are times when she starts to get a little out of hand and Monday evening was definitely one of those times.  Just because I couldn't break that lug nut, she got mad and tried getting my little brother to break it but he couldn't do it either.  Well, I tried it again and I finally broke that damn thing.  It sure wasn't easy, but I did it!  After, because I'm a good guy, I drove her up town to get her tire replaced, then we went home and I put it on for her.  She gave me a quick thank you, then ran inside her house and that was it!  I was mad.  Wasted my energy and she didn't even seem very grateful for what I did and all the trouble I went thru.  That made me mad.  I also had to dig in my storage because my brother broke his bed and my dad asked if I had a bed frame that my brother could have.  So I did that too.  Dug it out and put it together.  So after that, I was pretty worn out.  I wanted to do my 3 miles yesterday evening, but because I was out fixing her tire, I used up all my remaining energy so I finally just took a cold shower, then relaxed the rest of the evening.  And that was my weekend of camping and the troubles when I came home.  I sure felt like, dang I leave for a few days and this place falls apart LOL.

Ok, that was a quick rundown of my trip.  Now we get to today!  I told you before I left that I was going to get right back to it when I got home and that's what I did.  This morning, I got up and did my 3 miles.  Since it was my first walk since last week, I didn't want to get right to running.  I wanted to ease into it so I just did a swift walk.  It felt great!  My legs felt so strong and refreshed.  I felt like I could run, but I didn't wanna wear myself out.  Lisa walked with me.  She's also easing back into it.  She didn't do her usual 1 mile run, then DDPyoga.  Instead, she did the swift walk with me.

The day got kinda hectic because Lisa had to go do training to get her card to work.  Thats' why she got sent home for a few days, because she wasn't allowed to work until she got that card.  So this afternoon, she did her training and immediately after her training, her boss needed her to come straight to work.  So she left at Noon and around 4pm, she called me and said she was on her break.  Class was over at 5pm or so but they had a quick 5 minute break.  I felt so bad because she said she was really thirsty and that she didn't have any money to buy a pop or water, which everyone else was doing.  So, I took off and went up town.  I bought her a meal at Captain D's, then bought her a large Iced Tea, also I took her a cold Fresca for later, then I drove up to meet her at her training facility.  She was so happy and thankful.  I was glad to help her.  I didn't want her starving or thirsty!  She was happy.  After that, I hurried home, got ready then I went out and did my 3 miles for the evening, finishing up my 6 miles for the day!

This evening, my mom and dad invited our new pastor of our church to their house for dinner.  They invited me so I headed over there when I got done with my walk.  It was nice!  We had lots of laughs and great conversation.  I learned a bit more about the Bible too and some things I didn't really know or think about before.  Great perspective!  The pastor is a very knowledgeable man.

So after dinner, I came home and relaxed the evening!  Another great day!  Such a great weekend and my body feels great and recharged.  I'm looking forward to tomorrow!  Long blog here ;)  Thankx for reading though and Goodnight!

Day Fifty Three

Today is the day we are going out to Jackson Lake in Mancos, Colorado for 4 days of camping.  We're leaving here in bit.  Thought I'd post one last blog before we head out.  I'll be taking Rest Days until Monday.  I definitely need it.  I've been really getting after it since April 29th, the start of my Fyrescape.  I'm so proud of how far I've come.  I'm not going to quit, Ever!  This is just a restful weekend that I need.  A way of recharging!  Also, it's summertime so I'd like to get out there and enjoy nature, have fun and get in some fishing!

This morning, I started off the day by doing my final 3 miles of the week.  I wanted to do 6 miles, but there was too much loading and packing to do.  I decided to take my dog, Cody.  So it'll be me, Lisa, Cody and Jayde, our little Chihuahua.  This will be Cody's first camping trip since he was a 3 month old puppy.  We took him to Capote Lake.  That was so funny because he actually fell backward into the lake hahaha.  That was priceless.  I thought it would've made him afraid of the water, but nope, he loves it, unlike my last German Shepherd, JETT.  He hated water and was terrified of it.  I got him back in 2011.  He actually got stolen in November of that year.  He was only about 7 months old when he was taken.  Some asshole came around our area and took him one afternoon.  We never found him.  He was a big, black, pure-bred German Shepherd.  I sure hope whoever took him gave him a good home with loving ppl.  I hate to think he was stolen for dog fighting.  Omg that makes me sick thinking of that.  I miss him so much.  A year later, I got Cody.  He's also a pure-bred shepherd.  He's the traditional color though, brown and black.  When he was a puppy, he was all black, but once he grew up, his color changed.  I love him though.  He's an Amazing dog!

Ok, we're about to head out so I shall write back in my blogs when I get home.  We won't be back until Monday evening sometime.  Tonight, I'll be listening to the sounds of the mountains ;)  Can't wait!  Have a great weekend, everyone!

Day Fifty Two

Today was a very surprising day!  First, I did my 3 miles.  Lees did not come with me because she had training at her work so she was gone all morning.  Just me and Cody!  Of course, Cody was being naughty again, taking off from me.  That earned him a stay-at-home card when I went on my walk this evening.  I did some running today, more than yesterday!  I had to take an alternate route because this shyguy (that's what we call him) was at the end of my normal route and he had his dogs up there so I didn't want to take Cody all the way up that last incline, so I had to cut it short and turn around and head home.  It was ok though because when I got back up top, I went ahead and walked one lap around the loop that I'll be running on when I get to that point.  So, I more than made up for missing that last incline because of that shyguy.

Lunch today was Amazing!  Lisa cooked some lean boneless chicken breasts and vegetables.  That and water!  Also, watermelon for dessert.  It was so good!  I loved lunch today.  After, we watched that movie 'Captain Phillips'.  Pretty intense movie!  I worked on my twitter account banners today.  That was not too fun.  I hate how twitter and all the other sites keep changing their layouts.  Oh well, I guess that's how it is.

This evening, I did my second 3 miles.  This time, Lisa came with me.  She wanted to run everywhere I ran.  So, we hit a fast pace walk and every hill where I run, she ran with me.  It really wore her out.  She's usually used to running at her pace, but my running pace is pretty fast so it takes a lot out of you especially when you're running uphill and you have the heat weighing down on you the entire time.  When we got home after finishing up, my legs were soooo worn out!  I mean, they're crazy worn out.  I have been running all week.  I need a rest day, I really do.  My thighs hurt and my chins burning, big time.  6 miles total today though, again!  I really hope to continue this in the weeks to come.

Lisa surprised me with something.  Apparently, she needs some kind of training at her work because some card she had expired, so they gave her a few days off, then she'll retake her training.  So, she's gonna be off the next four days.  She wants to go camping tomorrow!  That's the plan, and finally I'll get that rest day I wanted.  We're planning on leaving tomorrow afternoon.  We're gonna go camp in Colorado.  So I'm gonna do my walk in the morning (3 miles) then that'll be it until we come back, whenever that is.  I'll try to put in some exercise out there at the lake, but we'll see how that works out.  Big plans and I'm excited.

Ok, I'm totally beat.  My legs are still feeling exhausted.  I know for sure tomorrow morning, I am NOT running.  I'm just gonna walk the entire 3 miles.  My legs are done lol. Goodnight!

Day Fifty One

I didn't wake up too early today!  In fact, when I did finally crawl out of bed, I really felt like NOT going to do my 3 miles....but I did anyway haha.  No way am I going to slip.  I did my 3 miles, but my legs were so worn out that I decided to just walk.  Lisa went with me this time.  I showed her my route and where I run.  It was nice!  I wanted to run, but my legs were super tired and I didn't want to overwork myself.  That's a big key, FYI.  Push yourself, yes, but don't ever overwork your body.  You could end up hurting yourself severely by doing that then you'd be out of action for a long time!

Water, Salad, and my daily snacks was the usual meal.  I also had watermelon.  I'm really loving that!  Gives me that fill I need for the day.  I miss fish, though.  I wanna grill some more trout like I did a couple weeks back.  That was so good.

Tonight, I did my second 3 mile walk.  Lisa didn't go with me this time, instead she went to church.  I wanted to finish out my 6 miles for the day, so I went ahead without her.  I ran a little, but not as much as yesterday.  Just some light running on a couple hills on the walk.  Cody sure pissed me off tonight because he kept running off from me.  I hate when he does that.  We saw some women coming back and he had to go run up to them, freak them out because he's so huge, then I had to call him and call him.  Damn dog!  He really delayed my run for a few minutes, but I still finished it so it's all good.  I'll have to watch him tomorrow.  If he does it again, I'll end up leaving him home tomorrow evening.

So, a great day today!  I'm so tired.  My legs are worn out.  Can't wait to fall into a deep sleep.  Goodnight!

Day Fifty

Wow 50 days now!  That's Amazing.  I've never exercised this long in my life.  This Fyrescape is definitely a life changing event that I shall remember always.

So today I started off with my 3 miles.  Same as yesterday, I ran also.  The very last part of my walk, there's a long incline.  I run up that entire thing.  Oh man, I am totally winded when I'm done, but wow does it feel good.  I feel like I'm really bringing my body to new heights.  When I got home, I could really feel the pain in my legs.  Running yesterday, then running today, that is really doing a number on me.  I haven't ran in a long time.  It's so much different than my usual fast-pace walks.

My meals today consisted of Salads and water, crackers as snacks and watermelon.  I also throw in some soup.  Drink lots of water, that is a huge tip!  Every fitness person out there says that, and I can tell you right now, they know their stuff.  Water is a very important part in weight loss.

This evening, I did another 3 miles, finishing up my daily 6 miles.  The running really kicked my ass.  I can really feel it in my thighs.  I'm so proud of myself though because I know I'm getting somewhere.  The wind was blowing like crazy again today!  I can't wait for some nice, cool, rainy weather.  That would be sweet!!!

Also, I hear there's a huge forest fire over on the mountain about an hour west of where I live.  That lake that's up there, not sure if this is how you spell it, Aasaii lake, that is where the mountain is burning.  Anyway, that lake is a great fishing area, or was.  I sure hope they contain that fire.  It's horrible because there are so many forest animals out there and ppl with land/homes.  I am sad for them all.  I pray to God that they get it contained and put out soon.

Time to hit the sack.  Great day, tiring, but great ;)  Goodnight!

Day Forty Nine

Woke up this morning bright and early.  I did my 3 miles.  I added something a bit different though.  Remember yesterday I was saying how I was getting discouraged, well I decided to really step it up.  I'm hoping to have my weight down in the 200 pound range sometime in July and by that I mean, 299 or below.  So, today I am starting to train myself to start running.  During my walk, every hill I come to I run up it.  The inclines and hills, I'm really pushing myself.  Damn it's pretty tough, I gotta say.  Makes my legs feel great afterwards, but then that tiredness sure hits.

I'm still eating light.  The food, I gotta say, is really taking it's toll on me.  By that, I mean that it's tough only eating light everyday.  There are some days I wish I could eat a big Huge meal, but I don't.  I always resist that!  I am very stern on this Fyrescape of mine and I will be strong all the way to the end of this Journey next year.

This evening, I did the exact same thing.  I did 3 miles, but added my up-hill runs in there.  Dang, the wind was blowing like crazy, which on my evening walk, it actually helped out.  My body didn't overheat as bad because I had a huge fan blowing on my the entire way lol.  So 6 miles total, with a lot of running added in there.  I'm excited to see how this does my body in the weeks to come.  One step closer to running full-time.

Great day today!  Lookin forward to pushing it tomorrow.  Goodnight ;}

Day Forty Eight

Today was one of those eye-opening kinda days!  By that I mean, I really got hit with some more reality about myself.  First off, this morning I did my 3 mile walk.  It was nice, but damn it wore me out.  I didn't get a real restful sleep last night so this morning when I woke up, I felt awake, but my body did not feel rested so yeah, that 3 miles kicked my ass!  Anyway, I checked my weight.  I seemed to have stalled in weight drop, or then again maybe I didn't, I'm not sure.  A few days ago, I can't remember exactly which day, but I checked my weight and I was down to 331.  Well, since then I've beefed up my walks to 3 miles and I thought I was doing pretty good, but today I checked my weight again and it said the same thing, 331lbs.  That kinda pissed me off.  The other thing was, a while back, my mom took me shopping and she bought me several pants.  They were much bigger than the jeans I used to wear a long time ago.  Anyway, I hadn't worn them in forever, mainly because I remembered that a couple months ago, they didn't seem to fit me very well (a fact that I had forgotten about.)  So I tried on those pants today and they fit me, like just right.  The reason that confused me was that I was thinking that I bought those pants last year, before I got my job at Albertsons.  So basically, it made me feel like I dropped about 30 pounds, but I hadn't changed much.  I sure felt down all morning.  It wasn't until early afternoon that I realized that my mom had bought me those pants, I believe it was, 2011 or early 2012.  Two or Three years ago.  Since then, I'm sure I had put on more weight.  That's when I got relieved because I realized that all the weight I had gained in the last 2 years, I took it off and then some.  The pants fit me a bit better than they did when I got them, or atleast I think they do.  So basically the reality was, I'm basically back to the size I was 2 years ago, minus a few more pounds.  Most of my weight loss is coming from my upper stomach area, arms, back and legs.

The point I'm telling you this is to inform that sometimes you may feel like you really bust your ass out there exercising and something happens to you like what happened to me today.  Then you feel like giving up because you make yourself feel like you haven't gotten anywhere!  That is NOT the case and don't ever give into those feelings or thoughts.  Weight loss takes time and the weight is one thing, but losing inches off your body, that is another process that takes more time.  Think of a giant balloon of water.  That balloon weighs 200 pounds.  You can drain about 20 to 30 pounds of water, but it'll still be big, not really changed much in appearance.  You'd need to drain about 70 to 80 pounds of that water to really see a difference.  Just keep that in mind if you ever get to the point I'm at in exercising.  Now my weight is way past 300.  I weight 360 pounds in April, so only losing 30 pounds of that weight, I'm not going to have really changed much.  I still have a long way to go.  I just need to not quit and that's exactly what I'm Never going to do.  I will Never Quit!!  My Fyrescape has just started.  I've made great progress, but I still have a long journey ahead of me.

So this evening, I did not do another 3 miles.  I stayed home and watched TNA Slammiversary.  It was an Awesome show!  Well worth the money.  I swear, if you're a pro-wrestling fan, you need to watch TNA.  They have some great wrestlers with amazing talent there.  It was such a good show!  That was my evening.

Happy Father's Day to All.  To my Dad, Happy Father's Day, as you are the Greatest Dad Ever!!!  I've learned to much from you and I continue to do so all the time.  A Happy Father's Day to my Grandpa as well.  A great man whom teaches me a lot.

A great day!  Lookin forward to really hittin the weight loss again!  Goodnight.

Day Forty Seven

Woke up early!  Last night was Awesome.  That Full Moon was so bright.  I could see Cody really well.  I love nights like that.  I kinda went to bed late, but I got up early this morning.  First business of the day, I did my 3 mile walk.  That was Great!  I actually felt like walking more when I was done, but I didn't wanna push it too much.

Lisa is not walking with me anymore, instead she's now going to be running on the loop up top, rather than going down the ditch road with me.  I can't wait to be running that loop, as I've mentioned the past few days.  I'm looking forward to getting back to running like I used to a long time ago.  I'll be so proud of myself when I can do that again.  This time, I'm never gonna stop.  Fitness has now become a part of my everyday life.  This Fyrescape of mine, it'll last forever, passing down to everyone ;)

Today I drank water, but ugh I did not want any salad!  I have been having salad atleast twice a day for a while.  You know how sometimes you just get tired of eating the same thing?  I mean, I love salad, but dang everyday, it's not cool.  I need a bigger variety of foods to eat.  We were just short of cash this time around so we couldn't really stock up on the good foods.

This evening, I waited until a bit after 5pm, then I did my 3 miles.  6 miles total today, Yay!!  Oh man the wind blew like crazy this afternoon.  I didn't take Cody with me though.  I was mad at him because when we walked this morning, he took off from me.  So, his punishment was to stay home this evening.  He was mad, but those are My rules!  The wind was so strong, it was tough walking down because it was just pushing me.  Coming back was much better.  I got it done though and I feel great!  Damn my legs are super tired though, so are my feet.  This 3 miles daily is really kicking my butt.  Tomorrow, I might just walk in the morning.  I'll probably blow off the evening walk.  I don't wanna wear my feet out.

Well I'm hungry, so I'm gonna fix me somethin to eat.  Another Awesome day!  Lookin forward to Father's Day tomorrow.  Goodnight!

Day Forty Six

Friday the 13th!!!!!  OoooooOoOooooo spooky day ;)  I enjoyed it though.  This morning, I didn't get to do my 3 miles.  My grandma asked me to go to the church for her and wait for the internet dudes.  They were coming to hook up internet to our church building.  Anyway, so Lees and I went there at 7am this morning.  Lisa was in total ZombieMode haha!  Me, I was ok.  I put together a vacuum cleaner that grandma bought for the church.  Not long after she left, my dad and brother came by.  My dad told me that my mom asked him to wait there for the Comcast ppl, so he said Lees and I could leave, which we did.  Afterwards, we did a few things in town, then headed home.  Dang I was starving!  I didn't have anything for breakfast.  I wanted to eat some cereal, but we left in kind of a hurry so I didn't eat.  By noon, I was running on empty.  We got home and Lisa made a really good lunch.  I was totally energized the rest of the day.

This evening, same time as yesterday, I did my first 3 miles of the day!  I was so glad to get my walk in.  I did it pretty quick too.  It was ok because the wind was kinda blowing so it was like a big fan constantly blowing on me the entire walk, therefore I didn't overheat like usual lol.  Got home and took me a cold shower, then just relaxed the rest of the evening.  That 3 miles is really great and my feet feel great.  Tired, but great!

So tonight there is a Full Moon, or as I like to call it, my Wolf Moon.  Time to enjoy it ;)
Goodnight!  Dream somethin sweet!!

Day Forty Five

Ok today was a bit different!  I actually beefed up my walks to 3 miles, morning and evening, so now I total 6 miles daily.  That's my new walking distance.  Yesterday when I measured the distance, I also saw what it would take to add an extra half mile, making it 3 miles instead of 2 1/2.  So this morning, that's what I did.  3 miles!  It was really great, refreshing and it really made me feel like I was getting somewhere.  The first time I started out my walks on April 29th, I was walking slow and oh man was it difficult, but I kept at it.  Now, my legs are stronger.  I can keep up a great pace and walk the entire 3 miles without stopping.  It's Amazing what progress you can get when you don't give up.

Lisa didn't walk with me because she had a meeting this morning at her work, which is how every Thursday is.  Just me and Cody!  She did her one mile run though.  She's getting faster and she's really picking up the DDPyoga again.
I drank lots of water today and even treated myself to a Diet Coke.  I love that stuff.  It really brings out some taste when you're drinking nothing but water.  I'm eating lots of salad and vegetables again.  I need to buy some more.

This evening, I headed out about 5pm.  I did 3 miles again.  6 miles total today, Woohoo!!!  Dang it really kicked my arse though.  My legs are feeling ok, but dang my feet are tired!  I need to get one of those foot massagers.  I don't know if they still sell them, but I surly need one.  So, today was great and of course, my TNA IMPACTwrestling showed tonight.  Awesome show!  I'm so in love with the knockout, Rebel.  She is Amazing!!  Can't wait for their Slammiversary Pay-Per-View this Sunday, which I'm totally planning on buying.

Another great day and more progress made on my daily Fyrescape.  Goodnight ;}

Day Forty Four

Well today was Aweome!!  Lisa found out that she lost about 8 pounds :D  That is so Amazing!  I'm really glad she's losing weight.  The reason she hasn't lost as much as I have is simple, because she hasn't really been pushing herself.  Lisa's problem is she wants to lose weight....but she wants it all off right NOW.  The whole thought of 'working your ass off for it' is something that really drags her down.  She's had that problem for years.  I saw that she was walking when I did, yet she did not do as much exercise as I've been doing and sometimes, she'll only walk in the morning, that's it!  The other day I had a big talk with her.  I was worried about her so I told her that the reason she's not losing very much weight, next to nothing, is because she's not pushing herself.  The crazy thing about Lisa is that she can run!  She used to run cross-country when she was in school and although she's put on a lot of weight over the years, she still has that running ability.  I've always told her over the years, "Dang Lees, if I could run like you, I'd be a fit slim-jim already" lol.  Well, anyway that talk we had, I told her that because she can already run, she needs to really push herself.  Me, I started from rock-bottom!  I need to train my body from the ground up.  Right now, I'm slowly working up to running.  Once I get down in the two lower 300 or atleast within the 299 pound range, then I'm going to really hit it and start running.  By next month, I should be running full time!  She, on the other hand, can already run.  The problem she has is that she's lazy.  I don't want to be harsh, and I'm not.  I've told her this and she knows.  She's very lazy at times, which is why all these years she hasn't really did anything to lose weight.  Well my example is really helping her out.  She's exercised longer the time she's been doing it with me, than she's ever done on her own.  So, I told her she needs to push herself.  Stop acting like she can't do it right now and stop pushing it off until tomorrow.  If she wants to get anything out of her body, she needs to put in the work to get it out!  I told her "Everyday!  Do it Everyday, No Excuses!  Push yourself to get it done, then do some more, then the next day, Repeat it and Do More!"  She finally got the message!  She's been running, pushing herself and challenging herself.  She's also picked up DDPyoga again.  I'm so proud of her.  She says her legs feel great, as well as her hips.  She's excited for doing it again everyday!  She saw that she lost 8 pounds and she's very excited.  I said to her, "I told you!  Just keep it up every single day!"

Anyway, this morning I did 2 1/2 miles.  I put a bit of running in there as well.  Drank lots of water.  On my walk in the morning, there's this dude that comes around in a truck.  I finally met him today.  He's an oilfield worker, I believe.  There are these oil pumps down by the ditch where I walk so during the week, there's always somebody that drives down there to monitor them.  Anyway, the guy that usually goes down there is a really nice dude.  I first met him sometime at the beginning of my walks after April 29th.  He pulled up beside me one day and handed me a bottle of water.  He said, "here ya go buddy, I thought you could use this."  I was so thankful and from that day on, whenever he sees me or Lisa, he stops by and gives us a bottle of water each.  I met him today finally, he was standing outside his truck as I was walking by.  He came running over with a bottle of water and handed me one.  He finally met Cody also.  Cody went sniffing his hand and being curious as always.  He told me his name was, Gene, I believe.  I told him my name and we shook hands.  He had to get back to work so he wished me a good day then headed out.  It's so nice to see ppl like that!  God puts really nice ppl in this world.  It's not all black and dark, like a lot of ppl try to only focus on, there's so much light in this world.  You just have to really open your eyes and have faith to see it!

So after I got back from my walk, Lisa went off on hers.  She was helping my grandma this morning so she didn't go with me.  Jayde, our little Chihuahua went with her.  I kept Cody home with me since he'd already went out.  He tends to get naughty when he's out in the sun too long, then he runs off and don't listen.  Anyway, so while she was out, I worked on her car.  I mentioned yesterday that I bought her a bypass hose for her car.  The other one ruptured and antifreeze was spewing out all over the place.  I got that thing replaced.  Just before I was done, Lisa came back early.  She said Jayde ran off from her LOL.  She was pissed off.  She had to stop her run and go look for her but couldn't find her.  So, we hoped in my truck and cruised down to the ditch road looking and calling for Jayde, but No Dice!  We pretty much gave her up for lost.  We figured she was either going to get swooped up by a hawk because she's so tiny, or she'll get killed by coyotes or someone would steal her if they saw her.  So we drove around all over, but still nothing.  Finally we went home.  Soon as we pull into the place, there she was sitting on the front porch lol.  How the heck she got home from way out there, by herself, was unknown to us.  We were surprised.  Lisa gets out and picks her up, babies her a bit, then Jayde got all happy knowing we weren't mad at her.  That was the crazy part of the day!  Afterwards, Lisa helped me with the car.  As I mentioned yesterday, her car engine is very compact so it was hard for me to screw the clamps onto that hose.  My hands were too big to fit underneath and give me enough room to grip my tools.  She got her hands in there pretty easily but it was frustrating because she didn't know what to do hahaha.  Anyway, we got it tightened.  She helped me clean out her engine.  Oh man, she needs an air filter really bad.  Hers is so dirty, I couldn't believe it.  That's what I'll need to get her soon.  So, after it was all put together, I had her fire up the car and it started right up.  Let all that new antifreeze stream thru the engine.  NO LEAKS!!!!  Woohoo!!!  I am Amazing ;}  After that, I fixed her windshield wipers.  The one on the passenger side did not work.  Now, they're both working perfectly.  She just needs new windshield wipers now lol.

After working on the car, we came inside and fired up the A/C.  I did a good workout on the Bowflex.  I did a set of 20 for each workout.  That really did a number on my arms and chest.  After that, I jumped on the exercise bike, the one my grandpa gave me.  If you remember, when I first got that thing, I could only do it for about a minute and my arms and legs would cramp up.  It's one of those bikes that have handles that move back n forth along with the pedaling.  Anyway, I got on it today and I worked it hard for a solid 11 minutes.  I burned off 155 calories, according to the monitor on the bike.  Oh man did it kick my ass though.  When I got off that bike, my legs felt like cement.  I was gone lol.  Great workout though.  Lisa did DDPyoga while I did my workout.

This evening, Lisa did her run.  She is now timing herself to see how fast she can get it done.  She's running 1 mile in 14 minutes.  That's her speed right now.  I wanted to run a little but dammit, when I got down to the ditch this afternoon, I got stomach problems lol.  It was pretty bad, so I ended up turning around and heading home.  Emergency, if you know what I mean.  So, that was my walk for the evening.  Did about a 1/2 mile that's it.  I don't feel too bad though because of that workout from earlier.  I really pushed it.  After I got home and did my business, I got in the truck and drove down the ditch road because Lisa would've been expecting to meet me on her way back.  I saw her and Cody and drove over to them.  She's all surprised wondering what the hell happened to me lol.  I told her the story and she gets in.  She did her mile and went ahead and caught a ride back because it was really hot out.  Cody was looking up at us.  I was actually measuring the distance we walk with my truck, just to make sure it was still a solid 2 1/2 miles.  So after picking her up, I kept driving to the end of our trail.  I called Cody and he ran next to me.  By the time we got to the end, it measured exactly 1 1/4 mile.  So I turned around, then I called Cody and it was funny because he jumped up on the window like he was saying, "PLEASE LET ME IN IT'S SO HOT!!!!" hahaha so I told Lisa to put him in the back.  She got in the back and called him and he jumped in.  He looked so relieved.  I turned the truck around and kept measuring the distance.  All the way back to my front gate measured exactly 2 1/2 miles, so yup, same distance.  We tied Cody up then I wanted to measure this big loop that is in front of where my mom and dad live.  They live about a mile west of me.  They have this big loop in front of their house which connects to the ditch road that I go walking on.  I used to run that loop.  It's pretty big and I just wanted to measure it so I'll know the distance when I start running.  Once I pick that up, I'll be running on that loop again, rather than going down on the ditch road.  So we drove over there and I started the odometer.  Going around that loop 3 times measures exactly 1 mile.  So that was very interesting!  I know now that 3 loops is a mile so I'll keep that in mind once I start running.  Lisa is going to run that loop tomorrow, instead of going down to the ditch road.  I'm looking forward to running again.  It'll bring back many great memories ;}

Afterwards, we went home and cleaned up then we went to church.  Great meeting with all our members.  I love seeing all of them.  Wonderful church family, we have.  Came home and had salad and eggs for dinner.  I was totally tuckered out by 11pm.  Cody was sound asleep by then too lol.  All in all, it was a busy and fulfilling day.  Got a lot done.  Looking forward to tomorrow!  Goodnight.

Day Forty Three

Today was a hectic day!  First thing this morning, I did my 2 1/2 miles.  I'm proud because today I started running!!!!!!  Woohoo!!!  I didn't run a long ways, but I ran much more than I used to before.  I ran two separate times during my walk this morning.  My legs felt great afterward.  I think I'm much more closer.  I wanna try running daily, but only for short distances until my legs really feel like they're ready.  I'm very excited for the days to come.

After getting home, we cleaned up then headed to the church to help out my grandma again.  I stacked up some boards and we helped rearrange some stuff in the chapel area.  That crazy pastor who almost stole our church building away from us, well he really messed the place up.  We finally really got everything in order now, since he left.  That's a whole other story, but a crazy one as well.

So after the church, we went and got groceries.  This is where the day got crazy.  On the way back, Lisa's car engine overheated.  Close to home, she started losing power and we almost got stranded.  Her engine was hot, then eventually started smoking.  Thank God we made it home though.  It was so hot outside this afternoon.  If we got stranded out there, we would've probably lost our food because we had bags of salad, milk and chicken breasts in the back.  Well we got home, unloaded everything, then just hung out the afternoon.  That evening, instead of finishing out my 5 miles, I worked on Lisa's car.  She helped.  First thing I did was put anti-freeze in her car.  After a minute, I noticed it was just pouring out of the engine.  Damn!  I sure hoped her engine block didn't crack because then we're fudged!!!!  Anyway, I found the leak.  Thankfully it wasn't her engine, but the bypass hose.  So we pulled that little bastard off.  Lisa's engine is really compact and that damn bypass hose is down a ways inside so I had trouble tryna fit my hand down there to squeeze the clamps and pull off the hose.  My hands were too big so Lisa tried.  She's got much smaller hands so she was able to fit down in there really good but she couldn't get the clamps off hahaha!  It was funny watching her.  She banged up her arms pretty good.  Anyway, she did some good though.  She was able to move one of them.  I did the other, then I got in there and pulled the hose off.  Yup, that was the leak.  It had a huge slit near the end by the clamp.  That's where all the antifreeze came shooting out of it.  So, luckily Lisa surprised me with $42 earlier today.  I used that money and we headed up to AutoZone to get a replacement.  I also had to buy some more antifreeze.  Her car is in not good shape.  I checked her air filter and that thing is soooo dirty!  I'm sure all her fluids are low.  That's probably why her engine got hot in the first place, she probably didn't even have any antifreeze in there!  Crazy.  Anyway, I bought the hose and everything.  It was dark when we got home so I'm not going to put it on tonight.  I'll wait until tomorrow after I do my morning walk, to put it back on.

Well, I didn't get to do my 5 miles today, but 2 1/2 is good enough.  I spent the evening working on Lisa's ride, doin something productive so I'm proud of that.  We'll see what happens tomorrow.  A great day, nonetheless.  Goodnight!

Day Forty Two

Today was supposed to be a Rest Day, but since I didn't walk the full 5 miles last week, I made up for it today.  This morning, I walked my normal 2 1/2 miles.  I didn't want a repeat of before lol.  I did pretty good.  Walked it hard.

The rest of the day, I took it easy though.  My leg was feeling pretty tight and my feet were tired.  It was nice relaxing.  I drank lots of water, as usual, but late I've been mixing my Diet Cokes in there as well.  Those are so good.  It really adds to the menu, rather than just water all the time.  I won't drink it too much because I still want to just stick to water and the occasional juice.  I'm out of groceries though.  I need to get some tomorrow.

Went down to Grandma and Grandpa's for wrestling (wwe raw) tonight.  Oh man, the show was so boring!!!!!!!!!!!  I mentioned before that I only really watch the wwe when I'm with Grandpa and Grandma because they're the wwe fans.  I'm a TNA guy and I thnk the Raw and Smackdown shows of the wwe are just boring.  Well in honesty, comparing the two, smackdown is actually more interesting than raw, the times I did watch them.  Anyway, the show was boring!  Same'ol matches with the Same'ol boring wrestlers doing the Same'ol thing.  Ugh!  I remember the wwe from 10/15 years ago and compared to today, the current version of the wwe SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that was my day.  Tomorrow, I'm back to 5 miles per day.  My body is feeling good.  My weight is down and a fun fact is that I'm able to fit into jackets that previously hadn't fit me ;}  So Cool!!!  I'll elaborate more on that in the weeks to come.  Goodnight!

Day Forty One

Up bright and early this morning.  Did my 2 1/2 miles.  Came home, got ready then we headed up to town to pick up some supplies.  Had Subway for lunch.  Drank lots of water and a diet coke today.  That's my new favorite drink lol.  I always hated diet coke, never realized how much I would actually love it until that was all I could really drink.  It's Amazing!

The wind really picked up around noon.  Dirt was blowing everywhere.  I got a half an inch of sand all over my porch.  I'll need to wash it all off tomorrow.  Hopefully it's a calm day.  Tomorrow night, I got plans to cruise over to Grandma and Grandpa's to watch wrestling.  That'll be fun!  I miss them.

This evening, it took me a while because I was having an argument lol.  It's settled now, but finally I did another 2 1/2 miles with Cody.  Finished out my daily 5 miles.  I'm very proud of myself.  I almost didn't do it, but made myself get out there and do it.  Talked with some old friends on facebook today also, which was cool.  I love getting back in touch with friends from the past.

Another great day!  Lookin forward to tomorrow ;}  Have a great night!

Day Forty

Finally caught up with my blogs today LOL.  Yeah, I'm slacking with that.  It's just I need a new computer.  Mine is so cheap.  I can't wait to get me a brand new computer.

So, today I started off with my 2 1/2 miles.  No snakes today hahaha!!!  I walked it pretty hard.  My legs sure feel stronger.  I can walk the entire length without stopping now, with ease.  Before I would stop at the end of the road, that's a mile and a quarter down, take a small breather, then head back.  Now, I walk the whole way and not stop.  I drank lots of water also.

When we got back, I took Lisa up and got her a haircut.  She wanted to layer her hair...or something like that.  Now she's lookin prettier than usual.  I liked her haircut.  They did a superb job.  After that, we headed out to pay some bills then got some lunch.  Soon as we got home, I needed to crawl up on my roof and fix my cooler.  I think my water pump was clogged up so I got up there and fixed it.  I'm glad I did because my air inside the place was kinda bland yesterday.  Not too cool, like usual.  Anyway I got it working good.  Dang it was hot up there though.  Lisa gave me a towel to sit on while I did my work.  Got it working good.  Fix-It Felix mode lol.

I sat around for a bit throughout the afternoon, then about 4:30pm, same as yesterday, I got ready and headed out to finish up my 5 miles for the day.  Cody and I did the other 2 1/2 mile walk.  I sure felt strong today!  I did some light running mixed in with my walk.  Oh man was it HOT outside, but God gave me the strength I needed to really push hard and get it done.  I did a swift walk and did not stop at All today!  No snakes sidetracked me LOL.  Cody didn't have much energy it seemed, or maybe today was just one of his blah days.  He usually jumps in the ditch several times, but today he didn't.  Just got his feet wet once, then stayed out the rest of the time.  When we got home, I gave him some fresh cool water and put him in the shade.  He's doin good now!

After the walk, I jumped in a cool shower!  Oh man it felt good.  That sun sure cooks me out there so when I get home and hop in that cold shower, I can just feel the steam coming off my body!  So Amazing a feeling.  I also worked on the bowflex tonight!  Woohoo!!!!  Damn it kicked my ass though.  I'm gonna be sore tomorrow.  My chest really cramped up lol.  I know it's goin to work.  I miss using that bowflex so much.  I can't wait to do another workout tomorrow.

Well, today was Awesome!!  Lookin forward to tomorrow.  Have a great evening ;}

Day Thirty Nine

Today was an exciting day!  Got up early and did my 2 1/2 miles.  I hit it hard too and did some serious walking.  My legs feel stronger and I so can't wait to start up running.  I wanna do it soon, but I still wanna get my legs stronger first and drop a bit more weight.  Don't wanna put too much strain on my knees.

After getting home.  We cleaned up and then I took Lisa to see 'Edge of Tomorrow'.   Oh man, that was an Amazing movie!!  I'm a big Tom Cruise fan.  He makes Awesome movies.  That was a great flick.  Lisa liked it.  Emily Blunt is super hot.  I loved her in that movie.  I suggest you watch it if you haven't already.  Definitely my kinda movie!  After, I took Lees to Fuddruckers to get her a hamburger.  She was hungry.  I told her she could go ahead and have a burger since she's been walking 4 1/2 miles at her work just about everyday so she'll burn off those extra calories.  Me on the other hand, I resisted the burger and instead got a grilled chicken salad.  It was on the healthy menu under 600 calories, Woohoo!!!!  I got that and just finished the Diet Coke I got in the theater.  Dang that was a very good lunch.  That held me off all day long.  I was so full after because it was a big salad.  Very delicious!!!

This afternoon, I finished out my 5 miles!  Dammit, I am determined to get back to 5 miles everyday as well as DDPyoga and Bowflex workouts thrown in there.  Anyway, Cody and I did the other 2 1/2 miles afternoon.  I wanted to watch a show at 6pm so we headed out early, around 4:30pm.  It was so super hot outside, but I kept a strong, swift walk without stopping all the way to and back.  One big sidetrack happened on the way back though.  Cody and I saw a snake down by the ditch.  Oh man it was a HUGE snake!!!!  Damn thing must've been about 3 1/2 to 4 feet long.  Big and fat, probably a good 3 to 4 inches in the middle.  I got so scared because at first I thought it was a rattlesnake.  Cody barked at it and when I got closer, that's when I saw it.  Huge!  It was calm at first and I kept trying to see if it was a rattler.  It wasn't making any noise, just slipping it's tongue in and out.  So I threw a few rocks in front of it.  I was careful not to hit it, just tossed a few in front to try and get it to move so I could see it's tail.  Finally, it began to move.  It coiled up and then I heard noise....oh shit, I thought.  After listening, I realized it was just hissing at me.  It got pretty pissed off and hissed at me.  It's head kinda swelled up a bit.  I just couldn't believe how big it was.  I'd never seen a snake that big in many many years!  Finally it moved and I saw that it was just a Bull Snake.  Whew!!!  I was relieved.  Just a big Bull Snake.  When I saw that, I was calm, then I walked toward it and chased it off down to the ditch.  It slithered away down close to the water.  I watched it a bit, then Cody and I just headed home.  That was exciting!  I sure wish I had my camera/phone.  The one time I really could've used my damn phone, I left it charging at home LOL.  I told Lisa about it when she got off work.  Crazy huge Bull Snake down there!  Those things are pretty good though.  I have a bull snake that lives over nearby my place, over by my grandma's trees.  That one isn't very big though.  I tried to catch it for a couple years, but it always tends to evade me!  It can climb also.  It climbs up my grandma's trees and it climbs up underneath her vehicle.  Crazy snake.  I don't mind it though.  Bull Snakes handle the rodent population in this area, as well as the other small bad animals we don't want around here.  The Bull Snake I have here doesn't bother Jayde or my cats, so that's good.  As long as it keeps cool, he can live here as long as he wants.  I ever see that huge one I saw today, though, I'm catching that thing and hauling it off about 40 miles from my place!!!  Ain't gonna have no huge snake crawling around my place.  Crazy!

Anyway that was my day.  Great day of exercise....and snakes ooooooooo!!!!  lol.  Goodnight! ;}

Day Thirty Eight

Today was a bit better.  I sure felt guilty for not getting in my 5 miles yesterday.  This morning, I hit it pretty good.  Did the 2 1/2 mile walk.  Lisa did some running, but she hurt her leg again, so I told her to go easy.  She's gotta just walk for a while and let her hip work itself out.  I try getting her to go in to get it looked at, but she's stubborn and doesn't want to.  I'll give it a week or so and if it's still giving her problems, I'm hauling her to the hospital to have it looked at.  She might've popped it out of place or something.  She's such a clutz sometimes!

Soon as we got back from the walk, I decided that today was the day to get my weight room cleaned up so I can start using my Bowflex again!  I really need to start pumping the weights now that I've dropped weight.  Soon I'm going to start running so I wanna start strengthening up my legs.  So I pulled everything out of the room and started cleaning.  I rearranged everything, vacuumed up my floor and wiped all the dirt and dust off my bowflex and other exercise gear.  I haven't used this stuff in a long time.  This being my Fyrescape, dammit I'm going to get back into all of it.  I wanna put on a lot of muscle.  It took me most the day to clean this room out.  During the time I was doing that, Lisa cleaned up her room and the hallway and bathroom as well.  We got rid of this old washer and dryer we had in the back laundry room area.  It was old and we don't use it.  It takes too much water anyway so we got rid of it.  Now there's so much more room back there.  Jayde has lots of room to run around when she's back there now.  Also, today is the day that my cat Sebastian is now and Outdoor Cat!  He's always crying to go outside so now he's out there permanent!  He needs to be out there with his family anyway.  He's got two kitties whom I named, Rico (male) and Rayne (Female).  There mom's name is Roar and of course, Sebastian is the daddy.  He really loves the kitties too.  He goes up to them and they come out to play with him.  He licks them on the head and they start to follow him around.  A whole family out there now.  I love it!

That was the day!  I wanted to finish out my 5 miles, but I got so tied up cleaning the back hallway after Lisa went to work.  I finished up my weight room though and really made it lookin nice!  Today was IMPACTwrestling too so I had to watch that.  Amazing show!  I can't wait for Slammiversary XII next weekend!  Anyway, I'll do 5 miles tomorrow.  Also, I'm gonna start working that bowflex!  Yay!  Things are really lookin up and I thank God for it all.

Goodnight!  ;}

Day Thirty Seven

Today was not too good a day for exercising for me!  I gotta admit, I didn't push it as hard.  Reason being, this morning I had planned a fishing trip with my dad and brother, so Lees and I headed out to the lake pretty early this morning.  We waited out there for them, fishing.  It was a good morning.  I didn't catch anything though.  My dad caught one.  My brother had to cast his line out for him each time because my dad can't really move his chest all that much.  He's still healing from his heart surgery.  Hopefully by next month, he'll be doing good.  Until then, he's still taking it pretty easy.  It was a fun day though.  We all left around noon.  We were so hungry because we hadn't eaten any breakfast or anything!  I went ahead and let us have a cheat meal.  Not a big one.  We went to KFC and got a go-cup.  It was pretty good.  I got a tiny chicken sandwich in mine with those potato wedges.  Lees had chicken strips in hers with potato wedges.  I also got a Diet Pepsi.  That gave us the energy we needed.  I surly needed it.  I was running on empty after the lake.  There was healthier choices of food, but I just wanted something quick.

Anyway after getting home, we cleaned up a bit.  Later in the afternoon, I grilled us some hamburgers outside.  I made them really good.  Lisa really liked them.  We just ate the burger, no bread or added stuff.  Just the burger and vegetables.  It was really good.  That evening, we did the regular 2 1/2 mile walk.  I felt bad that I didn't get in 5 miles today, but as long as I did something.  I was glad to have spent the morning fishing with my dad though.  No regrets about that, ever!

Great day today.  Tomorrow, I'm lookin forward to it ;}

Day Thirty Six - REST DAY

Well today was an Awesome day!  Got to rest up.  I definitely needed it after walking 5 miles everyday this past week.  We had a pretty fun day, Lees and I.  I took her to see 'Malificent'.  She really liked it.  I loved it!  I'd definitely go see it again.  We're drinking Diet Coke!  Omg it is sooo good, and Zero Calories!!!  I never did like Diet Coke, but dang I swear after drinking only water day after day for a month, when I finally get to treat myself to a soda and I drink some Diet Coke...oh man sooooo good.  I told Lisa earlier, "Dang a Coke with No Calories, that's like a Gift from God!!!" lol.  Anyway, this evening, we went to that movie date with my mom, dad and little brother.  I hoped my sister would've been there, but no dice!  She's out running around doing God knows what.  I sure hope she's behaving herself, but knowing my sister, that's a long shot.

I sure thought my mom was getting pizza, but instead she made a dinner of chicken pasta and salad.  I drank water with it.  I gotta say, it was so good.  The bad thing about it all was that she made this huge carrot cake for dessert.  Dammit, I could not pass that up so I ended up having a piece.  Just one piece.  Dang you have no idea how hard it was to resist another, but I did.  I should be awarded a freakin Metal for that!!!  Crazy.  The movie was good.  I think they liked it.. Earlier I bought the movie, 'RoboCop', the new one.  It came out today!  Pretty good to see it in blueray.  Came home after the movie, got lazy, fed all the animals and now ready for bed.

Great day today!  Back at it tomorrow.  Goodnight!  ;}

Day Thirty Five

I sure huffed it this morning.  I did my 2 1/2 miles and walked pretty fast.  Needed to burn off those calories from the last two days haha.  Lisa was luggin it this morning so I caught up to her.  She said her leg was hurting.  Cody had fun, as usual.  He's jumping into the water a lot more, especially when we do our walk in the evening.  It's pretty hot out there.

For lunch, we ate Subway because we were already in town.  I had to go up and do some things today so I went ahead and bought Lisa lunch again.  No more Arby's that's for sure.  I swore them off for a couple months.  Restaurants too, I'm getting back to eating healthy so it's back to veggies, yogurt and salads for me with some light meat.  There's goin to be a dink in that tomorrow though because yesterday, I made plans with my family that I was goin to buy the movie, Robocop tomorrow and bring it over tomorrow evening and watch it with them.  They had never seen it yet, I'm talkin the new one.  Mom said she's gonna get pizza!  Noooooo, seriously lol.  I asked her to make salad though so that's probably all I'll eat, that and water.  That's tomorrow's plan.

Anyway, I went to the post office because I'm waiting on some TNA wrestling gear that I bought.  I got Lisa a tshirt and I bought myself a hat and some banners.  It should be in sometime this week so I'll be keeping tabs on the post office throughout everyday.

This evening was crazy for me!  I planned on taking my Rest Day tomorrow so I wanted to finish up my 5 miles.  I didn't want to do it late this evening because I wanted to relax and watch my shows.  So, I made the idiotic decision to do my 2 1/2 miles just before 5pm.  So, I put my sleeveless tshirt and half sweater on (to keep my arms from getting sunburned) and my shorts, which is my usual walking attire.  I headed out on my walk with Cody.  Dammit, it was so freakin HOT outside.  That late afternoon sun just fried me.  I was sweatin so bad!  Even Cody was hot, so he jumped in the ditch about 5 times so he did much better than me.  By the time I was heading home, my tshirt was soaked with sweat and sweat was just dripping off my face, getting into my eyes and everything.  That was really crazy!  But, I pushed it and got in a good, swift walk.  Finished out my 5 miles for the day around 6:30ish.  I'm quite sure I burned off the last two days calories!  Dang soon as I got home, I ran into my shower and took a cold one.  Felt soo good!  I could feel the steam coming off my body when that water hit.  After though, my head was hurting pretty bad.  That heat really did a number on me.  So yeah, I'm not doin that again.  I'm gonna wait a bit longer before I do my evening walk.  I took some aspirin after Lisa got off.  That calmed my head finally.

So, another great day!  Lookin forward to my rest day tomorrow!  My legs are pretty tired.  I did just what I wanted, 5 miles everyday!  I didn't get the full 5 miles done yesterday because of that bad stomach ache, but I did get it done today so that made up for it.  Fyrescape is coming along well ;)

Goodnight!

Day Thirty Four

The Day After LOL.  So I really hit my 2 1/2 miles hard this morning.  I can't wait to start running.  I really really want to do that.  I know once I start running, I'll drop weight pretty good and really get my body goin like crazy!  I miss that feeling.  I've gotta share this though, the other day I took out some jackets from my closet.  Note that these jackets were getting pretty small on me, I noticed over the winter.  Two of them haven't been able to close in the front for a while now.  One did, but was getting snug.  Yeah, I wish that told me something back then, it did actually, but I was too afraid to listen.  Anyway, I tried on those same jackets and guess what, they can close now!  Woohoo, I could believe it.  The one jacket closed fully.  The other one closes up on top, but the part around my stomach, there's still about a 1 inch gap before it closes fully.  Way closer than before!  That really made my day.  I was very proud and it motivates me to keep on keepin on!

Today was church!  I found out that our friends, the Formans, whom were here last week, are actually coming back in July for the Vacation Bible School, our church is holding.  That was good news.  Now I get to redeem myself and spend a bit more time with them, try to reignite that old friendship I used to have.  I'll definitely be smaller by then too, so that's something I'm looking forward to.  Lisa's birthday is on July 18, which is the same week the bible school is happening and she wants to go to Capote Lake, CO.  That's our favorite summer spot which we try to go to every year.  So, we'll see how that all works out.

This evening, my mom called me around 6:40pm.  She asked me to come over for Kyle's birthday dinner.  Omgosh NOOOOOO lol.  Not again!  So I went, but first I told her I needed to get my walking done.  Told her I'd head over there soon as I got back.  Well this is what happened to that.  Oh man, I got about half way down, maybe a half mile, then I got hit with a killer stomach ache.  Dang it was hurting.  So yeah, I had to stop and head home.  After church that day, I bought Lees some lunch because she had to go to work so I ended up having a sandwich from Arby's.  I don't know what they did to it, but I think that's what caused it.  Cody sure didn't like coming home early, but he's a good, obedient dog so he came trottin home with me.  After, I cleaned up and went to mom's for dinner.  What they had, oh gosh ribs and potato salad.  I'm serious, they're not helping me LOL.  Well, again it's just a meal.  I was going to take a Rest Day tomorrow, but after the meal tonight, I'm definitely doing another 5 miles tomorrow.  I drank water for dinner, per the norm.  So yeah, let's just swipe these past two days from my Fyrescape record lol.

Great day today!  I enjoyed it much.  Goodnight ;}
